Hard to believe that East Fife team won so many on the bounce, they are poor.To be fair think we are just blessed with a very good solid back 4 and keeper the now, heard people say last week down in Stranraer that they never felt worried at 1-0 and it was the same today never though we were going to lose a goal even when we were under the cosh. A ball did break perfectly for Agnew in the first half, 12 yards out and big ToB puts in a belter of a tackle. Swankie and Gold were great on the ball today but nobody else really was, thought going forward we were very wasteful, despite that McKenna/Wallace/Linn and DD still done a load of closing down and running to make it hard for them Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
keptie Posted November 3, 2018 Share Posted November 3, 2018 A good solid performance in the conditions always felt we had the edge, defence was superb another clean sheet and a clinical goal beautifully worked and we should really have got a second to make the closing stages less nervy. Gav superb again and the whole team working like trojans East Fife have been on a great run lately but we made them look pretty ordinary. The pass back that got picked up by the keeper came of the East Fife players knee so a correct decision but the booking for Wallace in the same incident was ridiculous it wasn't even a foul but another great day at the Gayfield office it's good to be a Lichtie just now. sneed hearn Posted November 3, 2018 Share Posted November 3, 2018 Arbroath deserved to win.East Fife offered very little up front where Thomson ,Court and Smith had poor games.A bit of a bitter taste as the goal came from a blatant foul on Docherty in midfield.That decision was in keeping with the rest of the referee’s performance.
