King Kebab
Aye, pretty much. McLeish is only taking us in one direction. Stats don't make good reading for him;https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47674134So... Walter Smith it is then???

Blootoon87
Potentially Group games in 2020 at Hampden and the chance ( with the increased participation ) of being the first Scotland manager to qualify for the knockout stages. This Scotland squad will never compete regularly with Brazil, France, Spain, England, Argentina etc, as they've a far higher level of player. Similarly we won't ever compare with San Marino, Gibraltar etc because our player level is far higher. Pick the right manager and Scotland could make the world's top 15/20. GK - Bain Transfer value £4 million RB Tierney £27 million CB McKenna £12 million CB Bates £6 million LB Robertson £40 million DM McTominay £15 million DM MacGregor £15 million LW Fraser £20 million RW Forrest £14 million CM Armstrong £ 12 million CF Burke/ Griffiths / Fletcher £10 million The current crop are actually quite decent. Not the best side I've seen but perhaps, collectively the best since the 1990s. The problem is: Alex McLeish Holy f**k.
Stellaboz
Perfect! Let's punt Forrest off to Ireland for £20m and bring in someone from Latvia.
Savage Henry
2 hours ago, MixuFixit said: Walter Smith dropped the Scotland gig like a bag of cold sick when Rangers came a calling mind. And, lest we forget, was offered the gig before McLeish took it this time round. The SFA sacked Gordon Strachan and their short list to replace him was Walter Smith and Alex McLeish. It's not about the players. It's about the lack of vision throughout the system. They sacked the under 21s (being taller than 6ft 1 is all that matters) coach and replaced him with the under 19s (hoofball) coach. They then replaced the hoofball coach with the previously sacked being tall coach, and when the being tall coach left again they replaced him with the 123 year old former under 19s and under 21s coach. All of this under the guidance of a racist homophobe.

UsedToGoToCentralPark
Sir Alex is looking well these days. Pity he wouldn't do it for a couple of years just to show what can be done.

Its fucking mental. Can you imagine that in any other place of work. 'Look you've clearly proven this job is beyond your capabilities. We have this other role, same job, in another department that we're going to move you to instead'. To both failing managers.

LinkinFighter
I'd be stunned if they sacked him. We need to get someone who can organise a team and preferably have gotten a team qualification before.
