I don't think Labour's finished, certainly not in the rUK. Scotland's a different story.

The SNP need Labour to do well enough that they are be able to form a minority westminster government with SNP support, I wouldn't be surprised if they both have made discreet contacts to focus fire on the tories and go easy on each other, at least at WM level.

Fk them, don't care anymore.  We have one chance at having indyref2, and it has to be this side of any GE.  So talk of pacts with Lolbour is irrelevant, they can sook some SNP boaby.

Numbers of votes in Scotland (left off the independents).
As indicated pre vote, so many voted SNP that the greens were never going to be competitive. The 6th spot was forecast to be a free for all but actually the conservatives won it comfortably. Labour's situation desperate, they were nowhere near winning a seat.
Yeah but due to the weird system it would've been easier for the greens to get it than the SNP (I know they're closer but that's warped by the pr system, it's not just a case of an extra 4000 votes).

It's not blind hatred I just get frustrated that so much political enthusiasm is wasted on a nationalist project going nowhere when it could be directed at genuine 21st century crises.

You mean the UK?

One of the highest votes ever by an Independent Candidate.

Probably the only one who's Political campaign was obstructed by the Powers that run Social Media under pressure by the Goverment and Labour.

Leaflets refused to be delivered by the Communist C.W.U.

Not a bad effort.

Guest Bob Mahelp

I see that Labour are continuing their long history of vacuous, dithering shit by now talking about demanding a referendum on any possible deal.

That's not what people want you twats. Just f*cking commit to demanding a referendum on leave/remain.

Isn’t the referendum being proposed as Leave with the specific deal versus Remain?

Don't see how they can have May's deal (that nobody wants) versus Remain. Leavers would justifiably see that as a stitch up. Labour still aren't making any sense.

It should be a straightforward 2 question referendum

Question 1 - Do you support the Withdrawal Agreement as negotiated by the UK Government?  Yes or No

Question 2 - In the Event that the answer to Question 1 is No, do you support:  1. Remain, or 2. No deal Brexit

Can anyone explain why Farage and that shambling, senile old bodybag Widdecombe are demanding “a seat at the table” in the (closed) EU negotiations? I thought their platform was just to leave with no deal on WTO terms. What’s to negotiate?

Seems fine until you remember the recent poll that showed about 15% of people surveyed thought 'No Deal' meant we were staying in the EU.

The Good News for Scotland and the SNP is that the Tories will now show their true colours and be up front about the hard Brexit and the fact that nobody cares about Scotland as we are a small inconsequential region of England, hopefully this will show the doubters that in order to look after our Economic futures that we MUST go it alone or face the fall out of a hard right Government which treats it's working classes with complete and utter contempt.

The real threat to the Tories is Farage and the only way they can see this through is by electing a hard line leader with hard right anti Europe policies otherwise they fear losing out to Farage in a GE and of course they're well aware of this fact. This of course should confirm to any deluded Scots remaining that we are going to be utterly, completely, and totally shafted without as much as a shrug from Westminster.

Of course, we have our own problems up here as there is forever going to be a hardcore of Unionists, who despite the contempt to which they are treated, they will continue to vote for Queen and country, irrespective of whether it's under the guise of a "Brexit" party or the Conservatives.

The only thing we can be sure of is that Labour is finished in Scotland, they have no target audience remaining as the socialist ground has been well and truly taken by the SNP and of course their "British Union" mantra now seems to be falling on deaf ears, especially when the spectre of the hard right is looming in the UK Government and there's nothing that Labour can do about that nationally.

Of course, the elephant in the room is while it does look like that the SNP would clean up on a GE basis, the split between the Nationalists and Unionists is pretty much the same as the Brexiteer / Remainer issue across the UK, in as much as it's still looking like a 50 / 50 split with both sides becoming more entrenched and polarised by the day.

The whole thing really is a shambles and by God does David Cameron have a lot to answer for............
