JustOneCornetto
That looks horrific
Ro Sham Bo
Red card seems a bit harsh to me. Seems a reaction to the injury.
Gianfranco
What happened? I missed it and there clearly not showing replays.
Detournement
Just rewound it. Son just clips him then he falls into Aurier's challenge. Never a red for Son.
Gaz
I missed it too, I'm guessing it's a broken leg and as they're not showing replays I'm guessing it's a bad one.
JustOneCornetto
Looked like his foot was twisted at right angles, no wonder they don't want to show it
Gianfranco
Surely VAR will bring Son back on?
Benjamin_Nevis
Guessing that's a bone through the skin situation. Horrendous.
craigkillie
I think that was a red. He didn't make any attempt to play the ball, and it endangered the safety of the opponent. He didn't mean to injure him like that, but his sole aim was to stop the opponent, not to win the ball.
Jim McLean's Ghost
Really unlucky. Son's tackle makes Gomes studs catch in the ground. I assume Aurrier hits his leg and it snaps. Probably wasn't a red card for Son.
accies1874
I've no idea why Son was sent off after being booked, almost as Atkinson felt he had to rise to the situation. I also have no idea why the Everton fans are so incensed about that decision.
Ro Sham Bo
I missed it too, I'm guessing it's a broken leg and as they're not showing replays I'm guessing it's a bad one.Yeah at first I thought he'd swallowed his tongue or something but his foot was hanging off at right angles when I watched it back again. Horrible.
senorsoupe
A red is the right decision, it was reckless from Son, certainly not malicious intent but dangerous
Gaz
Just now, senorsoupe said: A red is the right decision, it was reckless from Son, certainly not malicious intent but dangerous A 'reckless' tackle is a yellow card, it's literally defined in the laws of the game.
senorsoupe
Also that's an awful looking injury, hope Gomes can return from this at some point
Gianfranco
It was a yellow card imo. I’m guessing they didn’t reverse it because of how the Everton fans would have reacted.
Ro Sham Bo
That other angle clearly shows Son's tackle was no more than a booking for me.
8MileBU
Everton fans booing Aurier going off there but they’ll have only seen it in real time. I’ve watched it back and it’s hard to put too much blame on Son or Aurier. Son’s tackle was a bit of a reckless lunge but it looks like Gomes momentum and weight makes him go over his ankle causing the injury just before he collides with Aurier.
accies1874
Think that's the most amount of added time I've ever seen. Will Everton a goal in that time?Of course they fucking won't.
