8MileBU
How Liverpool don't win the league: Draw at Wolves tonight Draw at Everton in the derby Draw at home with top-6 slaying experts Crystal Palace Lose at Man City And Liverpool's last 3 fixtures - away at Arsenal, home to Chelsea, away at Newcastle. Not exactly likely, but it's not quite champagne time yet. I’m more wondering exactly how ridiculously early they’re going to win it. [emoji36] Tierney's a better defender than Robertson. Wolves have such quality on that wing that Robertson isn't getting the chance to do what he's good at. Nut, at the moment that’s bollux. You’d be better attempting to make that call once Tierney’s managed to get and stay fit, bag first choice left back and played at least a season against the same standard of opponents as Robertson has. As it stands just now there’s nothing to even suggest Tierney’s better than Kolasinac. Simmer doon Rab.
Twinkle
Seems like a lot of grief merchants have started coming out of the woodwork in the last year or so. You usually notice a few regular Liverpool posters on here but theyve somehow multiplied, cant imagine why...On another note, Liverpool should have this wrapped up in record time. Going back, the win over City at Anfield was the killer blow and they will be deserved champions come April. Even if they were to have a wobble, everyone around them has been throwing away points left, right and centre

pandarilla
Well, you've assumed that Liverpool could potentially lose about 18 points in the next 15 games when they have only lost 2 in the the 40. Meanwhile City will win the next 16 after losing about 6 this season already. Belter. He wasn't predicting that though - he was trying to somehow plot a path for the title going to the wire. It was as reasonable attempt to do that as anyone.

I'll make sure it's a reasonable attempt as well.

At the tail end of 2017-18 Liverpool only won one match in five, including draws with West Brom and Stoke... and have lost one league game in their 62 since. If someone had said at the end of that run, in a season in which Man City got 100 points "I think within 18 months Liverpool will cream Man City and break all records," would you have called that a belter too? When Man City finished 2016-17 on 78 points, beaten home and away by Chelsea, rag-dolled by Everton, would you have called it a belter if someone suggested they could be the first to break 100 points the following season? When Arsenal set a record 49 unbeaten matches would you have called it a belter if I'd said they wouldn't win another title for at least 17 years? It's probably just as well for Liverpool that Jurgen Klopp doesn't see it the same way as you.

Liverpool and Man City's incredible consistency in the past three seasons shouldn't blind anyone to how hard most of those matches were to win, or how much quality their opponents have. The moment they think they can coast a match, someone will do them - as Man City found a few times this season.

Hope Wolves can go on to either finish 4th (probably very unlikely) or win the Europa League not only because of how they play but also to get it up those English clubs who either use the Europa League as an excuse for a poor season or who bizarrely try all season to qualify then try to get knocked out as soon as they can the following year. Also just because Wolves are great to watch as well. Raul Jimenez is a brilliant player and I don't think he will be leaving them either.

jamamafegan
Read an article the other day talking about where Liverpool could win the league, with the Etihad or Goodison Park potential places where it could be done. Both have the potential for scenes on the day, especially Goodison.

Thistle_do_nicely
Ended up watching a bit of match of the day the other day - Ole looks a broken man, more sunken faced than baby faced at this point. Think its likely he'll be gone after the cup game. Brendan Rodgers seems the best fit if they're wanting to go down the route of developing youngsters in the first team but thats pretty unlikely tbh.
