So after the 4th game ended drawn "the Association representatives invited the secretaries of the clubs to endeavour to fix the venue but after a deal of discussion they failed to arrive at a definite conclusion, even in the face of the promise of the Association to approve of what the clubs thought best. And yet they grumble when the Association fixes the ground!" (Edinburgh Evening News - Monday 2nd May). Come the Friday the Scotsman reported an EOSFA meeting the night before fixed it for Bathgate the following Wednesday, but the Linlithgowshire Advertiser advertised it at Broxburn the next day, and the West Lothian Courier said it might be Tynecastle on Wednesday but it wasn't clear if both would appear. It was also suggested extra-time would be played until someone scored. Linlithgow was also proposed but rejected as "it would have necessitated Bathgate's supporters travelling four times against Bo'ness twice". Bo'ness refused to comply - having apparently suggested an alternate date on which Bathgate were already due to host West Calder in Midland League. Perhaps somewhat surprisingly EOSFA gave them another chance at a meeting the following Thursday by rearranging for Saturday 28th May and promising the gate to charity. Bo'ness still wouldn't appear so cup went to Bathgate, but both got identical medals. Edited February 26, 2020 by HibeeJibee
FairWeatherFan
EoS Premier Division Blackburn United 1-1 Camelon Juniors Bo'ness United 0-0 Dunbar United Broxburn Athletic 1-0 Sauchie Juniors Newtongrange Star 1-4 Musselburgh Athletic * Hill of Beath Hawthorn have been awarded 2 points. Match v Sauchie 27/07/19 * Sauchie Juniors have been deducted 3 points. Fielding of ineligible player 27 July With Bo'ness drawing, it's allowed Broxburn to catch up a little on them and will them and the Haws some hope of keeping the title challenge alive. It was also a very important point for Dunbar. Blackburn stay a potential win away from escaping the dropzone. The game that caught my eye though was Nitten v. Musselburgh since it didn't seem that long ago that the roles were reversed. Musselburgh in the relegation zone and Nitten in relative safety. It's been quite a contrasting couple of months for both clubs. The last time Musselburgh were in the relegation places was after the round of games on December 21st. Nitten have only picked up a single point since then. With Musselburgh creeping up to the top half of the table for now.

HibeeJibee
Broxburn would only be 3pts behind, and Hill of Beath only 1pt behind, if they won their games-in-hand. So even if they can't manage a winning streak of that kind: they're still in the hunt if Bo'ness continue dropping points here 'n there. Paper-thin margins from 11th to 15th while Newtongrange still have hope and Linlithgow are 6pts from danger.
Blowin In the Wind
Hard fought win for Broxburn today against Sauchie. Not too many chances for either side. Getting very tense at the top and bottom. A lot to look forward to or dread over the coming weeks.

Since your wee league table, Musselburgh played 7, won 4 of them and drew the other 3; with 15 out of 21 points. Contrast that with Newtongrange who have 1 point from last 6 matches. Purely on 1st half performance, Nitten will be relegated at season end. The first 15 minutes of the second half, Nitten played a lot better and had Musselburgh on the back foot! However, it was only 15-20 minutes of good football and Burgh’s strength and open play won the day.
Deanburn Dave
It's SUPER SATURDAY in a fortnight. Broxburn, Hill of Beath and the BU's all have difficult away games . The league is going to go to the wire.

Referee had a shocker thoughAye fair result today, we had better of the game first, Camelon better second. Referee gave some very soft decisions, pretty poor. Young Camelon left back best player in pitch.

Fabulous result! Dundonald are a stuffy side to play and always hard to get points from there. With this being the only Premier league match on, got to give it best win of the day - certainly the most important of EoS fixtures.

Yes, Dundonald a very good team on their day., especially with Dunbar’s away record. Hopefully Dunbar can carry confidence into the next run of fixtures. If I’ve learnt anything in this league, form very seldomly follows suit.

Not the best sequence of fixtures to help their pitch though with four in 11 days though...

I'm assuming not.

That would be sensible and I don't see why not - the swap would also prevent Prestonfield from being used three times in a week.
