Just what is in the public domain. She is an Iranian working for Westminster Foundation for Democracy which is a regime change front. The Iranians charged her with espionage. The Foreign Secretary of the UK very clearly told a select committee that she was training journalists in Iran. Beyond that it was clear that multiple ministers were uncomfortable making public statements about her actions which wouldn't have been an issue if she was innocent. All mentions of WFD were erased from early news stories about her. Not one UK newspaper has carried details of the charges against her in Iran which suggests a D notice. Deanburn Dave
Boris is currently locked away in a safe place so he can't feck it up in public. He will be making deals and promises through 3rd parties to get him in the last 2.

On the other hand she might have just been visiting her family. The WFD seem to work globally, I don't see any particular evidence for them seeking regime change in Iran, it's fully advertised on their website that they're funded by the FO, and she seems to have been working for Reuters anyway. Even if she was a spook, Boris was the man the head of MI6/SIS was supposed to trust with all their secrets, and he blabbed about her in public because he was so fucking arrogant that he thought he could blag his way through without reading the contents of his red boxes. If the detailed charges have been announced in Iran, presumably you know what they are without the help of the British Press.
Detournement
It looks like he didn't want to lie to Parliament or the Select committee. Usually the government make no comment on cases like this one but her family went public against FO advice which put Boris in a sticky position. John Lambies Doos
It wouldn't surprise me if Boris fails to make the top 2 - he isn't that popular amongst MPs - especially since he did such a shit awful job as Foreign Secretary. He already has the backing of 70 mps and will no doubt up that due to transfers. A third of all MPs is what he needs. Rabbs, McVeys, some of leadsons and goves will transfer to Boris. Really can't see him failing top 2 tbh. You've got zero evidence she wasn't just visiting her family. You made up the bit about WFD working for regime change, and showed no evidence she worked for them, a body openly funded by the FCO and DFID. Wouldn't be much point in the UK press hiding the detailed charges if they'd been released in Tehran, they'd be in the English language Tehran Times and all over the internet. Hilarious him getting someone banged up in an Iranian jail because he didn't do his homework, aye right.
Detournement
Quote Among the projects she manages is the Westminster Foundation for Democracy, which is part funded by the British government. https://web.archive.org/web/20160625071159/https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/jun/25/nazanin-zaghari-richard-ratcliffe-iran-imprisoned It's pretty obvious that any action the British government takes in influencing politics in Iran is an at regime change. Iran has every right to be wary of the UK given that the UK launched a war of aggression against Iran in 1941 and plundered their resources then launched a coup against the legitimate government in 1956. Boris told the select committee why she was in Iran. Not one cabinet minister has stated in parliament that she innocent of the charges against her. It's not difficult to figure out what happened. Tibbermoresaint
It seems Johnson is the only one who can give the Conservatives a majority in an election. This isn't good. What is good is that in every scenario the SNP get 56 seats. Rory Stewart gives us a Brexit Party government.

You have no idea what she was doing in Iran. If she was doing something spooky on behalf of the FCO, while publicly working for a body funded by them, then she was directly betrayed by her boss. Either way he's unfit for office. It isn't remotely funny.

Yet another confusing poll that indicates that there are people who would currently vote Labour but would switch to Tory or Brexit if somebody, anybody became leader of the Tory party. I don't know which of the ten will become leader but I suspect one of them will.
