If you went to the club's AGM you would have at least some understanding.

I don't expect any club officials to divulge their playing budgets on a forum like this - it should be for member / stakeholder consumption only. Putting information like that in the public domain risks putting themselves at a disadvantage in transfer / signing negotiations.

So in conclusion, don't look for answers here, look inside your own club when the chance arises.

Great post! 👍

Wages are between the players and treasurer (maybe a couple other office bearers) I’m sure that you don’t know the wages paid to everyone at your work.

FWIW, you're mistaken - I know exactly what everyone in my work is paid, same as almost everyone else in the public sector. It's much, much healthier.

I didn't ask anyone to divulge any individual player's wage.

Utter shite, the vast majority of those players should feel ashamed of their performances today. Going through the motions would have been an improvement on what was on show
The season was effectively written off last weekend when you sacked the Manager in September.

It's going to take a miracle to get things back on track.

Morale must be rock bottom.

It's not really relevant to the conversation but having only ever worked in the public sector, it kind of amazes me that it's not standard to have complete pay transparency, or at the very least totally transparent pay scales, in anything larger than the smallest of small businesses. Football clubs are maybe a wee bit different but for your average job I'm not sure I could imagine working for the kind of cowboy operation where you don't know if you're getting twice, or half as much as the guy at the next desk for doing the same job.
From quite a few accounts not many earned their wages today.

I think it's different in football, the skills are much more specialised all the way down and you need to pay what it takes to get the player you want. But even then, clubs generally have a pay structure to reduce jealousy and tension.

Having been at the game today and s total neutral crossgates deserved their win. You were beat by a team that showed 100% commitment whilst not having any so called superstars in their team. Linlithgow could not handle the pace up front of Archie Campbell something that Linlithgow is sorely missing. I have seen them 3 times this year and I’m afraid tommy coyne is done, legs gone and being a legend in the Linlithgow colours shouldn’t get u a game. Right winger and right back were awful and xgates deserved their win
