Bully Wee Villa
Well, maybe. But it meant a lot to their fans, they wouldn't have known it was a last hurrah before everything turned to shite. It'll mean next to nothing to whoever wins this year, there is no human drama there.

It doesn't matter though. It was their first FA cup since 1939. Regardless whether they were spending more than they had is irrelevant, it's exciting to see a team win something after so long. When Man City won it after they were taken over that was good to see. However the novelty quickly wears off when a team keeps winning it.
Sergeant Wilson
The same could be said about most teams that do well. Wigan are a jumped up Northern Premier League club burning through Dave Whelan's money. The romance element tends to go when the last non-league team goes out and maybe continues when the likes of Chesterfield get as far as the semi-final.

Mr. Brightside
The fact that Mustafi is a professional footballer should surely give everyone hope.

Jambomo
Surprisingly good game. After the first 5 minutes I thought this was going to be a routine Man City win but Arsenal are giving them a game now.
tintax
Arsenal were very good in that first half. Really not letting City get into any sort of rhythm and bringing the game to them. Tierney playing very well also. Edited July 18, 2020 by tintax
Sergeant Wilson
Just seen the FA have announced a start date for next season's cup, 1 Sept. Midweek with extra-preliminary round, before the first qualifying round on the 12th.

Scotty Tunbridge
Decent save that good strong hand. Will Leno walk straight back into the starting 11 next season?
Mr. Brightside
To scout players comprehensively, you have to be in the stadium. Thanks for explaining that to me. There's a fucking pandemic going on, not much of a hardship that he had to watch games on TV.
