Still, for all of McGinley’s Rory love in, and Dave Laura urging the Northern Irish crowd to cheat for Rory, it’s great to watch live coverage without drunken arsehole Americans screaming ‘go in the hole!’ ‘You’re the man!’ ‘Mashed potato!’ after every shot. Fcukers should be sent to Guantanamo.

Apparently some mouthpiece shouted “Get in the hole” at the Scottish last week and someone replied “fucking shut up ya dickhead”
Not enough of that happens for my liking

Apart from all their ‘go in the hole’ or ‘mashed potato’ shite, what on earth is the one the arsehole Yanks scream that just sounds like a loud gibberish noise? Sounds like they’re all screaming ‘BOOGA-ROO-GAHHH!’.

Wanks.

The sky TV coverage is absolutely awful, we get about 5 minutes of play and then it cuts to a player interview and then a commercial break, fuckin shocking and it only serves to irritate.

Have to disagree, I think their coverage has been good. Opinions, opinions!

Boab MacIntyre still 3 under at the turn.

I'm so pleased he is doing so well and he is a credit to us, but I have to say that his home course Glencruitten is one of the worst I've played on.

Another poor course is just up the road at Fort William where with all the water off the hill it's like playing off a lumpy mattress.

The only real course on the West Coast and the best links in Scotland is Macrihanish.

It really irritates me the way the volume level suddenly shoot up on these commercial breaks.

You have to grab the remote and hit the "mute" button sharpish.

Apart from the intensely irritating McGinlay I'd say the Sky coverage is pretty good.

I grab the remote and try to mute Radar Riley.

Fair enough but were you around when the BBC did the coverage with no commercial breaks and you got continuous live play?, watch how often Sky go back to recorded play immediately after a commercial break so you are watching catch up, the commercials take from around 1 - 3 minutes and the player interview around 3 -4 minutes, over an hour you lose out on a lot of live play.

Plus bear in mind that you are paying a subscription to watch while they also make lots of lolly from the commercials.

Certainly am old enough to remember unbroken BBC coverage and Peter Alliss etc. That last block of Sky coverage was 12 minutes long before returning after a 30 second commercial break. I genuinely think their coverage is fine for a Thursday and Friday. They definitely get better and provide more ‘on course’ coverage as a major moves into the weekend.

Sandy's been watching golf since Alliss was a boy.
