The 'pyramid' registers on very very few people's radar it may seem as though it does on these types of sub forums and if you have follow a handful of social media accounts but in reality nobody really cares about boundary lines, who plays where, automatic promotion to the spfl . We could write a book of bullet points as to why the ' pyramid' is already a busted flush i'm afraid. But what would you do without it?
Jimmy Shaker
Why do Burghead keep getting mentioned in any plans? Have folk seen their ground?

LongTimeLurker
Enclosed with lights and cover and a pavilion inside the boundary fencing that has dedicated access to the pitch. That ticks most of the boxes on entry level.

It’s fantasy to think the likes of Burghead, Buckie Rovers, Devronside, Nairn St Ninian, Forres Thistle, Islavale etc etc are going to strive to get into a HL feeder league when there are already established HL clubs from their towns, most of whom are struggling year on year for survival in the HL. Lossiemouth in the case of Burghead.
TheScarf
Burghead’s ground is fantastic. Probably my favourite ground I’ve ever been at.

Lossiemouth in the case of Burghead. Those clubs can be in an HL feeder with nothing much really changing. It's only if they first get licensed and then win the north region title that there's any danger of moving up to the HL level. That's unlikely for the ex-Moray Junior League outfits. The way things are heading elsewhere though junior football has 5 years tops as anything even vaguely resembling a national grade and that's probably being generous, so odds on the pyramid is happening for the north region one way or another. Beyond that I think if you checked out the state of some of the grounds of clubs that have been licensed in recent years you would realise that Burghead doing it isn't as much of a stretch as you may have been led to believe. Jeanfield Swifts, for example: http://nonleaguescotland.org.uk/jeanfield.htm or Wigtown & Bladnoch http://nonleaguescotland.org.uk/wigtown.htm

I'm sure their gold star for holding a consultation is in the post. The fact of the matter is that there is only one league in Scottish senior football that is closed to the prospect of merit-based progress and it is the HL. Combine with Brora's sudden crocodile tears routine and it's not a good look.

SFA should grow a pair and tell them they're suspending Member Benefits - Scottish Cup Place and SFA Payments unless they do so. Burn their ground down and kill their first born! Have you and the other pyramid zealots never thought that some teams don't see the situation in the same way that you do? I quite like the whole Junior set-up. A lot of Junior teams do too. They have no option but to comply, but will the pyramid be of benefit to wee village sides like Auchinleck who have a status that they, IMHO, will never get as part of the pyramid? City sides like Cove will prosper through catchment areas and more sponsorship opportunities but will wee countryside teams? -
