Jo Swinson is a moron, squirrel murderer or not.

Not news, but Top Girl Nicola is about forty seven billion levels above every one of the rest of these jokers.

It was a decent if unspectacular performance from Sturgeon, but that in itself places it way above anything else we've heard tonight.  Unfortunately, and as the manic audience reactions on the Johnson/Corbyn debate demonstrated, most people will likely vote according to their ingrained prejudices.

Soft ball questions for everyone, Farage getting away with murder. Sturgeon looked bemused about how easy it was, if a bit pointless. Looks like ITV are trying to make up for shafting them on the main event.

Meeja making such a huge issue as to Corbyn not prepared to say how he would campaign in a 2nd referendum. There's an easy answer to that one for him - it would simply depend on what kind of deal he might negotiate with the the EU. Would that future deal mean the UK would remain in the customs union and single market? What about free movement? The whole thing would require to be scrutinised and all financial implications spelled out.

Only when a new deal has been negotiated, can a decision be taken as to whether it should be should be campaigned for, or whether Remain might be a better option.

Or more likely. There are still MPs in the Labour Party looking to undermine him who are desperate to hear what he’s planning to do so they can do the opposite.

I skipped the Farage one. Did he get asked why he so vehemently wants independence from one union whilst opposing independence from another, is it only Sturgeon whom interviewers suggest must be a hypocrite for that?

That debate was a shambles last night. No need for the audience, and if it was going to be insisted upon they could at least shut up until Johnson/Corbyn finished speaking.

Corbyn didn’t look great on Brexit, Johnson didn’t look good on anything at all. Almost Trump-like in rambling, speaking for a minute without even saying a sentence and repeating everything over and over.

Going for Lloyd Cole puns about Swinson and no mention of Rattlesnakes.

I'm disappointed in you.

Edit: just listening to Call Kaye and was almost physically sick. One caller talking about the leader debates saying that the 7 way format was a joke.

And SKY are trying to organise a 3 way involving Johnson, Corbyn and Swinson.  🤮

I will not be watching.

This in a nutshell.

We're now almost at a Rangers / Celtic level of polarisation in British politics where the majority are 100% "staunch" behind their preference.

Gone are the days when people would make an objective decision based upon actual policies, an outline for the future and what it meant for their own constituency, although in fairness the parties and politicians themselves must take much of the blame for creating this completely partisan arena.

All in all though, it makes a mockery of even having these TV debates in the first place as it's actually turning it into some sort of black comedy parody which obviously is a winner from a commercial perspective.

All very sad if you ask me..............

Is Swinson ready to be heartbroken in this debate ??  It'll be like a Spitting Image sketch
