Miguel Sanchez
Week 3 update One death this week, the writer Roger Scruton: https://www.theguardian.com/books/2020/jan/14/sir-roger-scruton-obituary I'm going to be honest, I've never taken to philosophy. Base don that obituary, I'm not very engaged by philosophers either. All I can say with certainty is that he was a deeply thoughtful man who contributed a lot to his field, and seemed to be important in sharing banned literature in the Soviet Union. He also took payments from a tobacco company to plant articles in the media about how good smoking was, and had pretty stupid views on Scottish independence. Nobody's perfect. He died at 75, so he's worth 50 Base Points. He was a Solo Shot for @Bishop Briggs, so he's worth 100 total. As a result, the standings look like this: 1. alta-pete, sparky88 124 3. Bishop Briggs 100 4. Everyone else 0 The spreadsheet has also been updated with these scores: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1V64rLXKhrmZf-6K4D3RyN3cR5Z_i2rh-ztODUB_dQyI/edit?usp=sharing Edited January 19, 2020 by Miguel Sanchez

Roger Scruton is worth only 50 base points - 125 minus 75. Add the solo shot bonus for a total of 100 points.
