RaithTheRover
Who's been shoe horned into the other wide position? Dingwall on one side, but who's on the other? Back to Matthews being there?Would certainly appear so.
HIT THE CHANNEL
I wonder if it will be more of a diamond and narrow ‘wide’ players and then use the fullbacks for width. That could work by flooding midfield and then sucking their wide players in to leave space... We shall see!
kev23
Let’s be fair, they’ve been quality since that Stranraer game. The Stranraer game that Davidson didn't play in? Or the 3 league games Davidson has played in since the 9th November?

I can't see anyone in that team playing as an out-and-out winger today. Matthews will sit, while Tait, Dingwall and Hendry will nominally make up the rest of the diamond, I imagine they'll be fairly fluid.
Michael W
Gavin fucking Ross. Why is this cretin refereeing so many of our games?

Raithie
Kenny Miller is in the Main Stand. Was just about to ask that as a steward said same as I was going in.
kev23
3-2 away loss. I suppose ignoring the 4 goals shipped at Bayview, the collapse at Clyde and the meltdown at Peterhead you're not far wrong.

Because, like a zombie, he won't die? I would predict Dingwall and Matthews staying back and Hendry and Tait wrapping forward, limited forays by Miller and MacDonald...which is why I don't understand the four back choice. And as I type that, M and M are tearing forward. Edited January 25, 2020 by TxRover
RaithTheRover
Dingwall doing something? An assist? Wow.
Raith Against The Machine
On paper, it's a 4-2-3-1. Dingwall on the left of the three, Bowie on the right, Tait in the middle. In practice, the midfield "triangle" of Matthews, Tait and Hendry is rotating to let any two go and one stay at any time. And there's a case in point for the opening goal. Matthews had pushed beyond even Baird when the ball broke to him. Lovely finish, lifted over the goalkeeper. We'd looked a wee bit nervy in the first five minutes, but the goal should help settle things.
Hank Scorpio
Dingwall doing something? An assist? Wow.Got one last week, too. I think reports of Dingwall’s demise are vastly over-egged. Offers plenty.

Indeed, but I'm worried that this 4 back will limit MacDonald and Miller, where much of our threat has been.
CALDERON
Montrose are absolutely bossing this. Can't believe we are 1-0 up.
HIT THE CHANNEL
Aye this is smash and grab so far. We have been dominated. Need to get possession up the park or we will lose one sooner rather than later.
Raith Against The Machine
Not having anyone who can even come close to winning a header, outside the back four, is severely limiting our options. Montrose finding it far too easy to shut down our short passes into the midfield, and we haven't come up with a plan B yet.

TxRover
Munro's inability to hammer it down the field is showing. EDIT: I say it, he lumps one and it results in a Bowie goal...I'll keep complaining about Biard next!
