Scary Bear
Great that we’re still top but that was a poor performance today. Not sure we deserved to be 3-0 up at HT and we lost the second half 3-1. Thankfully we still got the 3 points. What was up with McDonald today? He seemed reluctant to get down the wing. He is usually one of our best attacking players and our most consistent player. The team got ragdolled in that second half and lost all shape. Not good. Big improvement needed if we’re to keep up our title challenge.
HIT THE CHANNEL
Aye poor performance. Clinical finishing and that was about it. I’m 50 % more grey headed after that. f**k me. Vodka time

buchan30
I thought mathews and tait were our best players today, showed a lot of fight. We hit them on the counter for our goals, but the defence had an absolute shocker. JM has to set up to try and attack teams the way they do us. We spent the majority of that game camped in our own half.

Four back with just 2 CB just doesn’t suit the preferred play of Miller and MacDonald surging down the wings, for that we need three CB’s playing. Now, if Davo is hurt we face the real question of Mendy (or Watson out of position) at the third CB with McKay and Bene or four back and God knows what happens. in the first half, Dingwall/Matthews/Tait and Hendry were eating Montrose alive with quick, incisive passes, but their halftime changes killed that. Pluses from the game: Baird is looking much more threatening and Bowie is back on form. Dingwall is showing a flash of something and Tait continues to impress. Minuses: Munro is worthlessness the air, Davo may be hurt.
Scorge
Any neutrals got their money's worth today, b'jesus. One of those crazy games you get once in a while - Raith seem to have caught our disease of not defending high balls into the box, while we sold at least 2 very cheap goals through individual errors. Nothing but praise for the second half efforts which nearly snatched us a point, I think our ring-rustiness did show at times, particularly the midfield. We still need to solve the goal-poacher conundrum, but not too disheartened heading back home. If we carry the second half form against Peterhead and Dumbarton, I think we'll prevail.
Jilted John
I’d sign that Niang in a heartbeat. Looks a fantastic player! Where did you get him from?
SirJimmyofNic
Getting seriously pissed off with this less than 50% possession lark specially when its a home game, its time McGlynn got this defence sorted out once and for all, four goalkeepers and not one of them worth shit by the looks if it.

Wardy
Where’s all the negativity around the goalkeeper coming from? Maybe montroses first goal could have been dealt with a bit better; but the 2nd and 3rd were down to poor marking. Great that we won and 4 goals. From basically about 7-8 shots on target. Happy to win those kind of games from now until the end of the season.

For the first goal you could hear him shout for the ball from the South Stand, and he got nowhere near it. 3rd goal he absolutely flapped at the corner. He cost us a goal against Forfar, and played a huge part in making today nervy.
Wardy
Also first game in a few weeks, but Dylan Tait is looking like a right good player. Players like him and Bowie (who although scored a couple, didn’t really do too much else, not that I’m complaining) look like really exciting prospects who we should be looking to build the club around.

Still more confident him in goal than McGurn though.
Levenmouth Rover
Bang on with the keeper assessment Calderon. And he flapped at at least another cross in the second half. Add to that his poor kicking and he’s becoming a liability.
