To test the procedures and compliance.

Of what, people sitting in silence in a largely empty stadium?

They've done that.

No one is going to want to go to football games if they cant do anything once there...

I think the vast majority would be happy to return under those restrictions in the first instance. There is no way anyone can stop shouting despite what that guide says, anyone who thinks that will be adhered to is beyond help. There was plenty shouting and a few chants at the rugger match which had the same set of "restrictions " you really are getting tedious trying to pick fault in every single issue even the ones helping us get back to the normal you crave.

300 people in Pittodrie isn't getting us anywhere.

3,000 maybe.

It's pathetic.

I don’t know many people who’s house is big enough to have 30 folk over without it being rammed tbf

We live in a 3 bedroom ex council house bungalow. There were 17 of us in the living room one night. It was a tight squeeze, I suppose we could have stuck another 10 or so in the kitchen, which would gave a total not far off 30.

It amazes me that we’re living in such a “woke” time, yet so many people are still shitting the bed about a virus with a 97% survival rate (at worst)

I'm on holiday, been to the beach twice, 2 games with crowds, a couple of meals out and stopped at various pubs. It's not important but I thought you should know.

Having worked in Tescos warehouses in the past I’m amazed that it’s not rampant.  Pick rate was all they ever cared about.  A truly awful job and to this day 13 years later I seldom visit their stores.

In the back area social distancing dosnt happen. On the shop floor zero social distancing happens ( both colleagues and customers) , face masks are getting less wore due to many not giving a f**k ( majority customer's but plenty colleagues not giving a f**k).

Similar to the strategy put forth in the Israeli scientists’ letter, the United Kingdom initially sought to allow a large percentage of the healthy population to get COVID-19 in an attempt to build herd immunity. They changed course after an Imperial College report predicted dire consequences of tens of thousands of deaths and an overwhelmed health system, if the country’s strategy did not change immediately. Israel’s government hasn’t even consciously  chosen to follow the herd immunity strategy, yet the health system in parts of the country is set on a disastrous path
Of course, this begs the question: What research do they have to make such a baseless claim that the Israeli genetic makeup is potentially superior in combatting this virus to that of the Swedes? Again, they don’t cite any evidence, but we should be extremely cautious – as history has shown us – of any claims about the genetics of a Jewish-majority country.
The key indicators we actually can compare across Israel and Sweden are household size, trust in government, and social behavior, and all of these are markedly different between the two countries. Trying to apply Swedish’s model to Israel requires considerable guesswork.
Thankfully, a new petition attacks many of the unsubstantiated claims made in the letter and denounces initiatives for Israel to take up the Swedish model. The petition also makes clear that public health and economic prosperity go together. They note that calls to open the economy while infection rates continue to rise are misleading, since countries that tried to open up the economy before managing the virus ultimately harmed both the economy and health of the country.
The original letter recklessly presents itself as authoritative but is riddled with errors throughout, conflating conjecture and opinion for scientific evidence. Even more concerning, this letter will surely be co-opted and used against any future public health intervention that the Ministry of Health issues.
Ultimately, the authors of the letter present a false dichotomy: let everyone get infected, or have an indefinite national lockdown. Neither is necessary.      Yes its a bit tl/dr but there is a lot here in explaining why one shoe doesn't fit all, plus a number of points that taking on the failed Swedish model would be a massive gamble which would cost more lives than a proper measured approach like what we have in Scotland already.
Too long, didnt even attempt to read.

Reading a few more articles on how schools are sending kids home because of the sniffles or a mild cough and being 'recommended' to test and not being allowed back to school without it and this is having a knock on effect on the demand for tests. If this lack of understanding of symptoms continue especially in the winter it will overwhelm the testing process.

https://www.ardrossanherald.com/news/18697209.worried-parents-told-get-virus-tests-kids-sent-home-sniffles

It appears that the education authorities are fine with schools having this 'EEEK! a spider!!' approach to determining whether a child is infected or not and its the parents who need educating.

Grandson nr 5 was kept off with a cough (he's asthmatic), told to get a home Covid test (him and his siblings and mother), other two kept off school, too, until test results come back. Only problem is no home test kits available at present.

BoJo the Clown addressing his subjects at 4.00pm apparently.

Must be good news then if he's doing the broadcast.

Either that or it's so bad no one else would do it.

You're pathetic, if it was 3000 you'd be saying the same. It's clear they're not testing for anything like maximum safe numbers at this stage, that'll come later.
