Perplexed about why people need tested before going to an event outdoors, yet you can go untested to Supermarkets or Silverburn/Braehead and mill around indoors for hours

Because there would be no SD

I didn’t watch it but I read the BBC News online report at the time. I’m guessing you’re the Jamie from Ayrshire that works in an adult day centre

Yeah, that was me. If I had known that they wanted my mush on the telly, I'd have got a haircut!

If the questions had been live you should've gone off script.  "Prime Minister, given the latest figures and the concern we all have... have you tried opening all the windows and turning the heating up full?"

Interesting report. It's well reported that more young people catching it is driving overall deaths down, however this shows that across all groups, less of those who catch it are dying than before.

For anyone who thinks that there is a gathering backlash against these measures, YouGov polled on the new restrictins in England.

Scotland absolutely, overwhelmingly supports them.  The idea that because some people are complaining  on here or on social medai about restrictions or anything else shouldn't give anyone the impression that people are champing at the bit to relax them.

YouGov did a poll about a 10pm to 5am curfew, it has very broad support.

I think some of the restrictions in some areas are for those hours, hence the choice of question.

They are.

I didn't realise the virus didn't come out at night, though.

How does this really help?

Any evidence of this? I'm assuming you aren't using a poll based on an unstated number of English people about restrictions in England to prove this, as that would be silly.

I think the idea is that the current increase in transmissions is beign driven by socialising and a curfew would curtail that.

If you filter by region it gives you the Scottish figures

I guess it's easy to support measures that don't apply to you but that suggests very strong support.

This is one of the most ridiculous questions I’ve ever saw a poll based on. Honestly had no idea covid didn’t come out between 10pm-5am.

Expect Nicola to add Denmark and more significantly Oirlan to the list. Both have raced past the problematic 20 cases per 100,000.   She really should be adding Ingurland to the list if Greece (A lowly 12 cases per 100,000) was to stay on the naughty step.

They added Greece when it was below 20 case per 100,000 because of the amount of people coming back to Scotland from Greece with coronavirus.

Wrong again 😂

You’ve understood and addressed absolutely zero.

Will it help if I translate into idiot-speak for you?

PLEASE PROVIDE EVIDENCE OF THESE QUICK-FIXES YOU CLAIM EXIST FOR ABSENT KEY WORKERS OR PARENTS.

Then delete your account and have a lie down.

Key workers weren't absent from their jobs because of a lack of childcare when the schools were closed back between March and Junr There's therefore no need for a 'quick fix' for that category then by moving to a blended learning setup now, you imbecile.

A mass testing system, that is non invasive, can be used with small samples as might be got from home testing, and yet produces reliable results with very small false positives, and even smaller false negative results, in a short time frame, tied to a software reporting system that can be checked en masse in real-time to provide access for large crowds to events. A whole system that needs mass produced, and is highly invariant to fraud, gaming or cheating.
Think my money is still on the vaccine.
Not saying its perfect but better than nothing. Its also better than the testing system we have now.
Even if it was 80% effective it would slow down the virus spread.
I would link it to a smart phone. China had the right idea with electronic gate type systems. If you are positive then you cant get into busy areas because your smartphone shows a positive result.
Open to abuse but its something.
At the moment we are asking infected people to travel the country to get tested.
Great idea.

Aye, but everyone else was at home furloughed. Something that will not happen again under any circumstances, and something that is prohibitive to your screeching about not having schools back full time.

Now if you could address the previous point about who the all powerful parenting lobby are who the government are bowing down to, despite their willingness to hammer multiple massive industries, which you previously ran away from like a child?

I'm not sure if you're being deliberately facetious, but given that it would appear that it's being transmitted indoors where social distancing is not being applied, having a 10pm - 5am curfew would put a stop to most of these "empties" where folk don't give a f**k.
