Clearly these stats linger 3 days behind. The number has now fallen for 11 successive days. Relegated to Tier 4 East Ayrshire 150.8 to 148.3 drop of 1.65 % Slowed down their good progress. Maybe sulking at going into Tier 4 East Dunbartonshire 175.8 to 133.5 drop of 24.06% They have continued their large downward trend. Probably Justify coming out of Tier 4 a week in advance of others. East Renfrewshire 188.4 to 189.5 rise of 0.58% Frankly any area with cases still rising that is now in Tier 4 need cleansing. Glasgow City 251.9 to 214.2 drop of 14.96% Outstripping the Scottish average so the Weegie is finally listening North Lanarkshire 242.8 to 210.9 drop of 13.13% Similar comments to Glasgow Renfrewshire 261.3 to 252.4 drop of 3.40% Another area that needs a police baton approach South Ayrshire 159.8 to 125.2 drop of 21.65% They have continued their large downward trend. South Lanarkshire 229.3 to 216.8 drop of 5.45% See East Ren & Renfrew comments Stirling 214.4 to 149.7 drop of 30.17% Confirming it must have been a blip West Dunbartonshire 156.3 to 139.4 drop of 10.81% Moving the correct way. West Lothian 191.2 to 172.0 drop of 10.04% Just short of the Scottish average drop so must try harder. Promoted East Lothian 54.2 to 60.7 rise of 11.99% Not what you want to see after promotion Promoted but changed our minds Midlothian 76.8 to 91.9 rise of 19.66% Not good Previously Relegated & Progress Angus 92.1 to 92.1 No Change No progress Fife 140.5 to 108.4 drop of 22.84% This may turn Joe Biden style Blue from red at this rate. P&K 108.6 to 106.6 drop of 1.84%I Stopped the worrying recent increases. Should save it from a double relegation. Finally some random Authorities Dundee 120.5 to 101.1 Drop of 16.09% Dundee looks quite likely on this progress to exit tier 3 if not on Tuesday then surely the following week. Well played Clackmannanshire 163.0 to 116.4 drop of 28.58% Very small authority so shows how figures up and down can move so quickly. What about the mighty bairns, still mid table mediocrity for us?

Here’s hoping Perth is away to hit a drop, 2 weeks since the outbreak at the school so most cases from there should have been caught by now.

Inanimate Carbon Rod
Wifes on a conference call with the health board just now, theres so much fannying about that some predictions are for feb before even the first lot get vaccinated. If there’s any accuracy in that then vaccination should be taken out of the scottish governments hands and given to the army.

You see comments like this all the time - Some part of the public sector isn't performing so send the army it to do it. I would be interested in a) what facilities the army has for housing mass immunisation programs and b) how many squaddies are capable of administering vaccinations. You can't just shout "get the army in" as some magic fix-all. -

Bairnardo
I'd imagine their main role would be distribution rather than doing the jags.Even if they were to do the jags... Where else is there a large number of bodies available to the govt, being paid by the govt who would be willing to train to do vaccines at a moments notice. They are a unique asset and you would expect that they will play a role in this. Mr Carbon Rod is right. The Army are well placed to be involved in this.
