mizfit
It was nice to watch Scotland play at Hampden in the euros in front of a crowd, so yes I would say it was worth it. If only we could’ve won once game.

Or for having restrictions in the first place? I can’t tell if this protest is anti-vax/anti-lockdown or anti-restriction easing. As there's a union jack on display with a smiley face on it and as the person who tweeted the video commented "Do none of you have any sympathy for families whose loved ones died or were disabled post-vaccine, or were denied effective treatments for covid so that we could make 9 covid billionaires" It's those smiley faced anti-vax/lockdown people.

The guys in the second video make the anti-lockdown protesters look like a Mensa meeting.

East Lothian, Midlothian, Dundee & Edinburgh all higher rates in past 7 days, so pretty senseless to keep it. And yes I know it was pretty senseless to introduce it in the first place.

Michael W
I've long thought Burnham was a vapid waste of space who's never had an original thought in his life, but that's now Johnson and Sturgeon picked a fight and come off looking worse than him.

Have some faith in Magic
Fromm BBC news Scotland today "Worst-case scenario Covid infection numbers have hit a series of new record highs in Scotland over the past week, with more than 3,200 cases being reported on Monday - the highest since the pandemic began. Scottish government scientists say infections could hit 100,000 per week by mid-July in a worst-case scenario." Would love to know the modelling criteria used for that scenario.

This will translate to at worst, around 80-85% for full doses. That's before factoring in natural immunity through infection which will surely push it to 90+%. That's a phenomenal uptake and probably higher than anyone could have imagined. I remember right at the start of this, people were modelling scenarios where vaccine uptake was low (around 60% due to hesitancy over AZ) and then adding around a 15% boost for infection immunity.
Gnash
After predictions of doom following the 2nd AZ shot from just about everyone I've spoken to, I had mine last night and am absolutely fine (so far). I had a mild fever after the 1st, but not even a slight headache today. Anyone else had an easy ride with the AZ 2nd shot? Or was it worse than Covid itself for you?
