SlipperyP
The end is near. KFC & Pizza Hut have decided to close shop in Wuhan. The Ozzies starting to get their game together with 4 now confirmed cases. Quote China 1,300 (Hong Kong & Macau included). France 3, Japan 3, Australia 4, Malaysia 3, Nepal 1, Singapore 3, South Korea 2, Taiwan 3, Thailand 5, USA 2, Vietnam 2. Obviously with home advantage, the Chinese will run away with this. However it all up for grabs for the silver and bronze.

Currently going through 64 suspects, of which 29 are cleared, 3 confirmed and the rest waiting on results. Confirming no new cases today. The fact that they have been rounding up anyone that has come into contact with the first three is going to affect their long term game plan. Should be applying some of Thailands creative freedom of handing out some Kleenex and a leaflet.Expect once the family gatherings and celebrations die down today, we will see the Asian nations push away from the chasing pack.Suspect a bit of fowl (or should that be bat) play from the US who are sending a plane to Wuhan to bring in some ringers.

Tight minge
League table as it stands. Singapore got a late one in last night, as did Malaysia. China just showing their commitment to this, they are like Liverpool to everyone else’s Man U. Looks like China copy Kleenex is far inferior to the real deal. A lot of hysteria now on social media. Claims of lies and its 90000-100000 infected in China and an infection rate of 14 instead of 2.5 (which is bad enough). Xi stating that this is a ‘grave situation’ and officials now claiming that its quite possible China can’t contain this. Plenty of governments and officials pressing panic buttons. Philippines just rounded up over 400 people from Wuhan and sent them back. A week ago China announced 41 cases and 2 deaths. Disease Analysts at Londons Imperial College, believed it to be 1700+.Even at Chinas figures and similar increase in the next seven days would see the figure hit near 50,000 and deaths would top 800 putting it on a par with SARS.Mother nature is a bitch with her Natural Terrorism, the hysteria gripping everyone more than the event.
supermik
With a population of many billions, how many people have died in the past few days of an unknown reason? All these new fangled diseases are just a strange phenomenon.

SlipperyP
Good news this morning from our Government. They have it all under control. They will NOT screen arrivals from China until China says it's ok to do so! They have been only screening passengers from Wuhan (which has stopped on 23rd) & Guangzhou. Getting interesting.

Good thinking once more. Although, I suppose if you are the Thai government, you probably do genuinely admire the Chinese government's levels of competence and openness.

Clearly they have the hunger and passion to grab second place here. Committed to all out attack, total-virus. It will be hard for the opposition to contain this style of play. Thailand, like China could just be unplayable!

Link please. I can only find 6 confirmed (last one in Hua Hin, where I'm heading next weekend) and maybe 3 new cases, not confirmed in Phuket, good luck @Moomintroll Maybe be your big chance to become famous.
Tight minge
Channel News Asia, link below.Heading up to Thailand on the 3rd for my usual jaunt, then up to Vietnam thereafter. China on hold indefinitely. Company may put a travel ban out though as screening is compulsory from Tuesday when we return from NY. https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/asia/wuhan-virus-death-toll-hits-42-as-cases-soar-to-nearly-1-300-in-12330264 Government here, as you would expect, are putting out a lot of sensible news and data, unlike the Philippines who have now entered the fray and it appears this is the end of the world now! Ironically, the daughter has just got over a virus (not related to this coronavirus) and has passed it to the wife and I. I have a bit of sore throat, but the wife is starting to feel really under the weather. Really hoping it comes to nothing as the way the government are being strict here any fever will be referral, then carted off to one of the quarantine zones for 5 days. Suppose a good excuse to avoid work.

RossBFaeDundee
Watching Mister Metokur's livestream sure has been a delight. Potentially 90-100K infected, doctors breaking down in tears, hospital corridors lined with infected due to insufficient beds... The second it officially spreads to Scotland I'm not leaving the house lol
