So if a spaceship was arranged like a room in a building on Earth with seats, desks etc fixed to one surface, we'd likely still 'feel' like we could tell up from down and that it made sense, even with no or very little gravity. IIRC In the early days of the international space station, the astronauts use to sleep in any orientation that they liked. However it was disturbing to wake up and see a colleague sleeping on the wall. Therefore they agreed on which way was up even if this was artificial.

They've done experiments with special glasses that give you the visuals of being upside down. Very disorienting to start off with, but once your brain adapts it takes the same time to get back to normal when you take them off.

Aye the mind performs certain adjustments based on what it thinks it should be seeing all the time. Some bit of gear the auld mind.

Granny Danger
Don’t know if this has been mentioned already, but large scale testing in England has shown that only one person in ten in London and one person in twenty outside London have had the virus.

It's incredible how quickly the brain deals with it and adjusts.

Some bit of gear the auld mind. i've been learning about machine learning on images during lockdown and since it's based around trying to mimic the way the human eyes and brain work together, they did a quick intro on it and it was fascinating. We've got a very small area of incredibly high resolution about the size of your thumbnail and everything else is blurry. If you were to look at that raw output without the adjustments from your brain it would look absolutely horrendous and jittery. Your brain just fools you into thinking it's smoothed out. Extrapolating that data across the UK would lead to approx 3.7m infections and a morbidity rate of 0.93%, with over 90% of fatalities being in those aged 60 or over. Continuing with a blanket lockdown is the wrong approach.
