WhiteRoseKillie
First prisoner to get the virus, HMP Manchester. Pray for WhiteRoseKilie .We've already sending half a dozen or so staff home each day at our nick - won't be long until prisons are cutting regimes to the bone. Rehabilitation programmes have already been halted, and my function (H&S) are only covering essential tasks. Things are going to get really fucking hairy in the next couple of weeks, and get progressively worse for some time afterwards.

Italy and France, to name two, imposed the ‘full Monty’ lockdown, while we asked folk to stay away from pubs, clubs, restaurants... the arguments are raging that they went full-on, while we kind of went half-arsed, so to speak. Does anyone know what the timescale (roughly) is for knowing if they were right and we were wrong? How long does the UK give it to have a decent idea if our route is working or not? Well, London about to go to "full lock down" but screw the rest of us it seems.

WhiteRoseKillie
Why shouldn't the cancellation of the biggest music festival in the world be reported on?Glastonbury isn't the biggest Festival - it's just the most convenient one for the BBC to cover.

Old Bing
6 minutes ago, welshbairn said: You haven't said what that would achieve Well if it was to happen that us and every other country was to stop trading with them. We would have way less international travel to and from to every country from China. And so limiting the spread of any potential virus. The threat of a lack of international trade would hopefully force them to reform their food hygiene standards. With more inspections and closures of restaurants, markets, stalls that do not comply. -
