Hospitals in England told to prepare for Covid vaccine rollout in 10 days' time

Exclusive: NHS could receive first deliveries of Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine as soon as 7 December
According to sources at several hospitals across the country, NHS England said they should expect to get stocks of vaccine on 7, 8 or 9 December.
Initially only NHS staff are set to be given the jab, with care home residents and the over-80s having to wait. This is despite those two groups being classed by the government as top priorities for Covid immunisation, as they have the greatest risk of death from the disease. Care sector chiefs reacted angrily, warning that the move would be seen as a “betrayal”.

NHS officials believe that if it is moved more than four times it risks becoming unstable and ineffective. By the time it reaches UK hospitals, it will have been moved twice, from the Pfizer production plant in Belgium to storage hubs in Britain, and from those hubs to hospitals where it can be administered.
Logistics is going to be the issue, as per usual the balloons in government have no idea how the real world works.

Six teachers and two support staff off with confirmed Covid at a single primary school in Gourock. They must have gone to the same nail bar!

Well they definitely did not catch it in our overly safe schools.

Perhaps they mistakenly ordered a wine with some soup, instead of a bigger, safer, meal.

From bloodcancer UK

❗ BREAKING: people with blood cancer who are extremely clinically vulnerable have been moved up the provisional priority list for a vaccine. They are now at the same priority level as people aged over 70. This is great news! Previously, younger people with blood cancer were only expected to get a vaccine after everyone aged 65+ had been offered one. But the new priority list better reflects the fact that people with blood cancer are especially vulnerable to #COVID-19. There’s also the good news that adults who live with people with blood cancer will also get priority. This is important because any vaccine might not work as well in people with compromised immune systems.

I'm moving up the list! 💃

Aye hold on while we divert testing capacity from care homes to mass test thousands of grotty weans on a daily basis to try and distinguish between their latest cold of the winter and the 'rona.

No need to divert as the Liverpool experiment has shown. Perfect testing grounds for the lateral flow testing.

The SG have no interest in LFT.

It would show that, other than getting as much of that sweet, sweet money as possible from WM, there would be no need for tight restrictions.
