Coronavirus (COVID-19)

It's going to be impossible to get people who are already sceptical to take it if that's the case.

Well to be fair, that would make the vaccine more or less the same as the flu one.

Which means the virus will be endemic, and so long as those most at risk of serious illness or death are vaccinated there’s no more need to vaccinate the population at large than there is for the flu.

Moving everyone to tier 3 who (who was in tier4) seems like a move to just ease the Christmas free for all that's due before the deaths hit in Jan/Feb.

I'm expecting a new Tier 3+1 to be announced for Glasgow and the surrounding areas in the coming days.

Covid: landlords want government support

Quote

Steve Griffiths, the Mortgage Lender’s sales director, said: “When the government was putting together its package of financial assistance for homeowners and tenants, buy-to-let landlords weren’t a consideration."

My heart bleeds for buy-to-let landlords.

Looks like the UK Government are asking schools to close on December 18th at the latest to lessen the chance of the little cherubs taking Covid into family homes at Christmas, and to prevent school teachers being on call to deal with Track & Trace if necessary.

The Scottish government last week decided this wasn’t needed. Out-ghouling the Tory government - not a great look.

Is it possible to win a referendum with the "AV GOAT TWO WEANS" mob baying for your blood?

Creamy pints are available outdoors without food and leisure travel to other low risk areas for tier 2. Just as well that the Clyde Riviera has direct ferry links to the west Highlands while the plague railway is off limits.

I thought 18th had been standardised everywhere since august to make up for teacher lost days after the standardised august return?

It's not very often that you post good news, that'll take the smug grin off her face.

She'll be very compromised in general from now on, it'll be difficult for Sky to get her to be taken seriously from now on.
