Coronavirus (COVID-19)

As much of a pain in the arse it is, I do see overseas travel being heavily restricted over the Summer. A trade off in turn for a normal summer here? it's not ideal, but I'd 100% take it.

No we'll wait for proper herd immunity or for the EU to get their vaccination levels up.
The risks associated with a double jagged person going to the EU in 4 months time and catching a previously unknown Covid variant which evades vaccines are absolutely minimal.

That said, I'd expect countries who are under the cosh to be placed or remain on the red list anyway.

If we are indeed allowed a normal summer, of course.

The stuff doing the rounds on summer holidays because of currently non-existent scary variant® can however be filed in the nearest bin.

Aye, I mean a holiday abroad isn't on my to do list this year as I'm saving for a weeding but I completely get why people would be pissed off about not getting away.

In saying that, if the trade off for no holidays is no restrictions come autumn/winter when the government shite themselves over the as yet undiscovered Benidorm variant then I'm sure most folk would begrudgingly accept that.

Only 19k first vaccine doses and 5k second doses though.

Why? Makes no sense. The supply slowdown isn't until April and England did 636k total doses. Wales had strong figures too.

What percentage of the population will be double jagged in 4 months?

By the end of July, everyone once and all 1-9 priority groups twice, so around 70% at a guess.
