In essence scientists have discovered three cases of a virus strain that might be able to "partially dodge the vaccines" by way of having the E484K mutation despite none of these 3 cases showing this mutation and the fact that both the Pfizer and AZ vaccines have been shown to be effective against other strains that have this same mutation. We might get 'a surprise' by an increase in cases. ICU up 2 to 33. Even accepting that slight rise the hospital number is down by almost 100 in the last week and down hugely (by 1700) from the peak of 2053 on 22nd January. Today’s figure hopefully just a blip with more decreases going forward. The 7 day average for deaths is 6 having been 60 near the end of January.
