Savings. Councils are skint, including ours. Our Tory finance convener's attitude to it is to hell with the difficulties for staff, everyone that can WFH should do so full time and permanently and the empty buildings sold off.

Personally i think a future where the social interaction in our office is gone, and you're either WFH or at a booked desk somewhere in amongst a bunch of folk from other departments you don't know is as bleak as f**k.

That's been the norm in places I've worked for the last few years.  If I went into an office I would barely know anyone to talk to as most of the people I actually work with are in London.  At home at least the dog pops in for a social from time to time and I can have lunch with Mrs. Back

Is she getting grilled about the chance of hospitalisations for under 30s and the fact that every vulnerable person has been jagged?

She was asked why we should still look a cases when hospitalisations are so low.

The answer was “community transmission” and “not everyone has been vaccinated “…

Spain the latest to let Brits in without tests
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-57199791
This isn't the issue, it's the ludicrous conditions being imposed on travel from the UK and back even to green countries. Two tests to return from a green zone even if fully jagged is utterly ridiculous.

the more countries that allow unrestricted travel the more pressure will mount on our government to drop their charade.  We have a tourism industry to protect as well.
