Why didn't the 'Socialist Celtic' fans cause an uproar at their club using the furlough scheme like Liverpool did who were utterly ashamed as this went against their clubs values?
I suppose by Rangers also doing it then it saves us from another one of those stupid old firm slagging sayings - 'Furlough Celtic'

It cant apply across all lower league clubs but I do wonder if being a 'wee' club living on scraps season to season means you survive this possible disaster because they are built to do it. Meanwhile the dinosaurs further up cant avoid the asteroid.

If part time clubs have a majority of players and coaches that have other jobs ( fuloghed or not ) then it may be easier for them to say “ look boys were struggling here, are you able to live of your other wages till this blows over?” Whereas the smaller full time clubs players will need that money to live on month to month

I see FIFA has announced the season is to play to a close. Whether this  is a sensible option, I'm not sure, but it could be good for Falkirk in their bid for promotion. As for the club and fans trying to get the season declared null and void out of sheer desperation? Hahaha! GIRFUY you bunch of no-hopers.

Has Maybole applied for the new WOSL?

I could be wrong but I believe ALL the West Juniors have applied as they reached a compromise where they could keep the Junior cup.

Again, I'm sure I read that the Premier teams would be entering at tier 6 (one below the lowland league) which of course is quite interesting as the majority of them would scud most of the sides in the league above, as such it will probably take at least a decade to get a genuine picture of the Pyramid.

It's actually a difficult one as the rules set down by the Government leave it open to abuse.

Using the large supermarkets as an example, they're saving between £500 million and £750 million due to the Business rates exemption designed to assist the hardest hit retailers, when they of course are actually profiting from this crisis.

The same goes for the Football clubs, it's definitely unethical that the tax payer should be bailing out billionaires who are using and abusing the system but ultimately the flaw lies in the system.

Looks like all WOS Juniors will come in plus three others and they will all come in at Tier 6 for the first season.  The winners of the lge (if licensed) will play off against the EOS and SOS Champs (again if licensed).

Yes, it just seems a bit bizarre when Talbot have humped the league leaders of the league above (3-0 away) who in turn have been humping sides in that same league by crazy scorelines such as 11-0, 10-0, 8-0 etc.

I take it that the West Premier will come in at Tier 6 and the rest will occupy leagues below ??

I think, for the sake of all clubs being regarded as equal in the first year, there will be four conferences with a Premier division (maybe a Division 1 also) created after the first season.  After that they may keep conferences at tier 8 as it will then be.

It all seems rather complicated as surely the likes of current ayrshire league sides such as winton rovers, saltcoats vics, maybole etc can't be allowed to be on a level playing field with the likes of Talbot, Kilwinning, Beith, Ladeside, Glenafton etc ?

St. Mirren announcing that we are furloughing all playing and non-playing staff and making up the shortfalls not covered by the government scheme so no one at any level in the club is coming away with less than their full wage.

I think most clubs in Scotland will follow this line. It makes sense.

True but then the larger the wage bill, the harder it is to do, especially with playing staff. There's 7 or 8 bigger clubs in Scotland who certainly couldn't afford this.

Another link - FIFA and UEFA are calling the shots on this season being played out.

https://news.google.com/articles/CAIiEIdgVYzwdEUwtp7uvRO1_ZwqGQgEKhAIACoHCAowrueiCTDmn7gCMOjNtwU?hl=en-GB&gl=GB&ceid=GB%3Aen

You need to read the actual article and not just the headline.

They arent "calling the shots" on anything, merely saying they could move the dates for the transfer window, and allow different rules on contracts, if leagues are wanting special treatment to try and finish league seasons later on in the year.
