GNU_Linux
Note the Edinburgh South vs Blantyre Victoria will probably be moved to the Sunday as Dalkeith Thistle (who they groundshare with) are at home in same round vs BSC Glasgow.
cmontheloknow
Can be few arguments about tie of the round? Good to see one of the favourites being KO'd so early.

craigkillie
It's mad that two teams could be drawn together in two completely different competitions in two consecutive seasons. Must be completely unprecedented in football, you'd have to think.
morley
Amazing number of teams in that draw. Imagine if a drunk Rod Stewart was there helping, he would have been asleep by the time got to Dunipace v Mid Annandale.

All very convenient, I wonder if these "random draws" helped with the publicity of the Central League Cup.

True. That’ll be why University of Stirling sometimes play on the Sunday as well.

Of course it's not unprecedented but when it's very much the tie of the round rather than something not particularly noteworthy like Vale of Clyde vs Lochore Welfare and when some of the visiting team's supporters would otherwise be moaning on and on in this thread about what a waste of time it is having to go to Lochar Thistle or whoever in an unnecessary diddy cup against glorified boys clubs or whatever, the powers that be at LL HQ are at the very least likely to be laughing up their sleeves that this would happen and quietly hoping that Kelty give them a severe doing this time.

Man doing the commentry said it was the biggest draw in senior football since the Scottish Cup in 1893!! Felt like it was never going to finish mind. Missed the start of my lunch and all. Smart idea that they left all the byes in the bowl, gave the First round games a number after 143 and put those balls in. Saved them a bit of time. And saved my lunch. Pollock vs Tranent and Bonnyrigg Rose vs Newtongrange are great ties in First round. Shire vs Spartans, Broxburn vs Medda, Dundonald vs Rob Roy good in Second. Kelty vs Talbot game of the round. Pressure on Bazza to get a win this time. Lurker - must have had NASA on the case if Kelty vs Auchinleck was a fix. I dunno how it looked on You tube but every club committee had a code for the zoom call and so we all watched it live on that. Balls coming out the bowl down one side and vidi printer on the other side. Said the balls draw was in a different location linked by zoom, so the man pulling the balls out maybe didnt even know who had gotten who.
cmontheloknow
yeah any talk of fixed draw is utterly pathetic stuff.

Burnieman would probably have had English language comprehension difficulties in that regard, if he were still around. In reality I made no such suggestion. All I stated is that it looks very convenient given the spectacularly long odds on it happening and how beneficial it is for generating interest in early rounds of a tournament that is completely new to most people in the west. -
