"M8 alliance 😂

The Record really is shite. Having said that both of them being emptied into the Lowland League would be genuinely funnier than Rangers dying.

Lowland League? They'd need to go to their respective East and West conference divisions. Thistle in with Newmains and Hearts with Stoneyburn.

Yes, that’s probably OTT. But although the statement says declaration of champions is not being challenged, it doesn’t say the same for promotions.

They stated quite clearly that they were not going to challenge the distribution of prize money, which means they are not challanging finishing the league (which is just as well) what they are challanging is relegation on the basis of PPG. Which would mean Dundee United and Raith Rover not getting promioted. I'm actually ok with this up to a point. f**k Dundee United or f**k Hearts, it's a close call.

During the SPFL voting rammy I think I saw a figure saying the SPFL has around £9m in working capital. It's just that the £10m is very much in line with that figure and seems a veiled but deliberate threat (even if it never happens) to bankrupt the entire league.

That £9m has been dished out to the clubs. The SPFL will probably be operating on not much more than thin air at the moment. But there’s a big wedge due from SKY by 1st August. And that’s rock solid. Certain. Not under threat at all. No siree.

More embarrassing stuff from Seethelothian and successful businesswoman Ann Budge. Their inflated claims for compensation only goes to show the club is close to bankruptcy. Their claims they will bring in an interdict if relegation is not reversed is as empty as some of the heads on JKB.

All in all, this will be as successful in the courts as Seethelothian's season on the pitch.

£10m is just posturing. They're hoping for the SPFL to re-negotiate at a much lower figure.

Not very nice, really.

I’m pissed off we are not going for nearly enough. Everybody seems to assume it would be a one season stay in the Championship - which is arrogant nonsense. We’d be odds-on to bounce back up, but so what? It’s probably too remote for the courts to consider, but we should have been calculating for a second year down there.

So the court case bankrupts the SPFL. All the clubs say "Ah well, lets start a new club and call it SPFLWHPT" That's Scottish Professional Football League Without Hearts or Partick Thistle.

A second season in the Championship would be no one's fault but your own. What a ridiculous argument.

Why would it be?

Why do you care? You worried that Ron will be angry when he gets the phone call over in the US of A to be told that his Scotch soccerball franchise has just had a big gouge from its expected SKY bucks?

Utter tripe. Did Sevco, Dundee Und, Dundee, bounce straight back up?

What is utter tripe?

I'm saying that Hearts can't ask the courts to legislate on anything beyond next season. They can't ask the SPFL to cover the costs of every season they spend in the Championship.

I couldn't really care less about their chances of coming up.

1. It wouldn’t bankrupt the SPFL. They could pay it up over time  - like a criminal with a fine.

2. This is 2020 not the1870s. These are businesses. That sort of anti-competitive cartel planning would get a bigger legal kicking.

When people and businesses and organisations lash out with threats, it’s usually because they are not very confident with their case.
