They were only sent to the West Region SJFA management team, so is it safe to assume that it has to be one of them ? Nobody else should have had access to them. We can disregard the ridiculous traffordab's suggestion on the juniors P&B forum that Kilwinning are behind this, as they don't have anyone on the West Region SJFA management team. I'd heard from a couple of sources that the SR racism thing was leaked to the papers by one of the management committee rather than by a club rep present at that meeting and now this which appears likely to have come from a similar, if not the same source...the West Region clearly have their own Deep Throat onboard. Don't see this one going away though...there's clearly more to come. It's just further proof though that when office bearers are elected for the WoSFL we need to start to all intents and purposes with a clean slate.
Sergeant Wilson
Not defending Talbot, but is it possible that when null and void was identified as a method of finishing the season no-one present understood the implications further down the line or the nuance between each method of concluding the season. When it was pointed out they changed to PPG. the fact remains a clear out is needed to get better administration of the new set up.
TFW
How many Junior clubs have directors, as the Record headline suggests? The journalist can not get that very simple fact right and yet the rabid keyboard warriors on here are all blindly accepting that what he says is true. I think a wee bit of common sense rather than the rush to judge and condemn on that basis might not go amiss.

That's a plausible assumption to make, in which case you call another meeting to review the decisions taken at the previous meeting, although you can't review them as the minutes have been destroyed. As you say, keep these individuals well away from the WoSFL board. What it also shows is that Chisholm asked TJ to speak to Petrie on the matter of Scottish Cup qualification, did he also speak to him on the matter of Conferences? Petrie had a change of heart on that subject around that time. Edited May 18, 2020 by Burnieman

The way it reads in the emails is that they went null and void, but still thought they could nominate a team to the Scottish Cup. Talbot then jump in saying the SFA advice is that wouldn't be good enough and would need to determine a league champion for qualification.

Mr Chisholm must have known PPG would give his club the league, with it the Scottish cup place, when he suggested in a private email to mr fyfe. so I’m sorry does that not stink that the club who benefits from PPG is the club that puts forward the suggestion.
Lokloyal
Afraid the only way out of this is for the original decision to be re-instated.

traffordab
Total non story from a 'journalist' from the kilwinning chronicle. The scottish senior game are world leaders in corruption and self preservation far worse than anything that goes on in the junior game. Any moral high ground the junior haters try to take from this is laughable considering the organisation they support that is the laughing stock of world football even those who placed so much faith in it are losing faith in it and the 'pyramid'. Atfc will no doubt take legal action on this and no doubt the clubs supporters will boycott clubs like kilwinning and clydebank great just what scottish football needs more court action and a boycott. -

The credible people with any kind of experience aren't there. One or two who are trying to position themselves are disliked by the majority of junior clubs from west of scotland. The majority of people running the juniors in the west of Scotland league will be junior men that's the reality of the situation many of them are suitable, have the experience and in the main have ran a steady ship for years. Johnson has junior cup to organise and Robertson has gone so those two won't be involved.

Him, ask him to co-op a couple more. It's not rocket science and given what's gone on you'd be better without the kind of experience the old guard bring.

Lokloyal
Apologies if I may have missed it in this thread but could the season simply have been declared null and void and the Scottish senior cup place declined by the West Region?

That's not the reality of things on the ground though. Won't happen. Away from a online football forum in the real world the likes of Mr Rooney , Chisholm, Fyfee, are all well respected by the vast majority of west junior clubs which will be shown in the future. -
bluearmyfaction
So how would they nominate someone for the Scottish Cup? As the original minute suggested they had to do? Presumably on a points per game basis. So it would still have been Talbot. I think it is logical that the SFA may have said "you can't do that because you've voided the season, therefore there are no points you can use for a PPG average". Hence the suggestion of a rethink. It's not so much a conspiracy in my view as Talbot ensuring they got their place in the Scottish Cup. Not sure what value the League trophy has now they are no longer in it. But it may be that there could either be a title and a club in the Cup, or neither. All or nothing.
