Phillip Mycar
The big hitting berries. It's Eubank v Benn all over again. Pick your winner but absolutely no eating as you pick your berries. Turn up at the checkout with red chops and you won't be allowed back. Edited July 6, 2020 by Phillip Mycar
mishtergrolsch
There needs to be a third option of Bramble which is superior to both.

Rizzo
I like raspberry-flavoured stuff (jam, sweets etc) better than strawberry-flavoured stuff but I prefer to eat fresh strawberries over fresh raspberries.

Get off the fence! Strawberries, texture, more substantial. A man's berry.
Dee Man
There's something I don't trust about raspberries.
Hedgecutter
For rice pudding: strawberry jam For butteries: raspberry jam By themselves: strawberries (with a dash of sugar)
bennett
Raspberries go mushy too easily, can't beat a nice juicy strawberry. Most of my garden ones get munched by slugs.
John Lambies Doos
It's a tough one tbh. I like raspberries with healthy shit like natural yoghurt....but strawberries are better with unhealthy shite like thick whipped cream or on a birthday cake..
scottmcleanscontacts
Fucking both. Philistines. And brambles too.

Hillonearth
Out of those two the strawberry, but my real favourites are those New World interlopers the blueberry and the cranberry.

senorsoupe
I don't have much of a sweet tooth so I prefer the tartness of raspberries over the sweetness of strawberries under most circumstances.
Eednud
Memories of getting up at some ridiculous time to catch one of the berry buses during school summer holidays. Picking rasps was a lot easier but more of a mess than strawberries. Plus you could pish in the bucket to add to the weight. Strawberry picking paid more but was back breaking and the incentive of earning more money was hampered by eating 1 for every 2 or 3 that went in the punnet. Think only went 2 or 3 times as preferred sleeping in.

Raspberry Switchblade doesn't have the same ring to it either. On the issue at hand, strawberries are more reliable as I once found a wee larva thing in the hole of a hulled rasp. They're too delicate as well. If the punnet has to be lined with bubble wrap then you know you're in for a sloppy experience (anyone seen Kenneth?)
J_Stewart
Since lockdown started I have a smoothie as part of my lunch everyday, it will contain strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, bananas and (sometimes) blackberries. It is delicious, and both those wonderful red berries play a huge part in making it what it is. Raspberry jam is better than strawberry jam though, so on that basis, I've chosen Raspberry.

I prefer eating strawberries to raspberries, but raspberry jam is the king of jams. Tough choice.
