Exactly. They have full time professional players that didnt travel. Genuinely dont see why anyone thinks this is getting cancelled.

G51
Think the only real questions to be answered here are: a) Are the Scottish Government still going to allow Celtic to use the elite exemption, which will be determined at this afternoon's meeting b) How many members of the Celtic squad are identified as close contacts

Safety isn't an issue it's all about whether the Scottish Government think they can make political capital out of it. It will be tests at the end of this week that will show who has caught it, isolate until then.

Just because it’s your club doesn’t mean you have to agree with everything they do. I’m genuinely interested to hear your whole take on this situation. Romeo's just pushing the WUM act to deflect from the fact he definitely isn't bothered that his team are and have been a complete and utter laughing stock. Don't worry buddy, we've not clocked on that's the game.

It wouldn't necessarily be all of those who travelled who would need to isolate, just the close contacts of the one who has tested positive, similar to the Scotland U21 scenario. AJF
Whatever the outcome is of the Scottish Government meeting this morning, I'm just looking forward to the statements after it. It's not been often that I've been able to enjoy a scandal of this magnitude as a neutral.

Mr Positive, sometimes.
Really struggling why everyone is so hyperbole about this on here as well as twitter, calling for postponements etc even (probably not mentally sane people) on twitter claiming there's imminent conversations about null and voiding the season. Yes we know they shouldn't have went. It was a nonsense decision from a narrative perspective before even looking at the risk of catching covid etc. We know the whole squad isn't going to be made to isolate based on Government recent rules and only the close contacts will have to do so. They shouldn't have went but all the flapping seems so unnecessary as well. Edited January 11, 2021 by Mr Positive, sometimes.

I think what makes this different from your 'normal' situations where a player unfortunately contracts Covid is: 1) Celtic made a needless trip during a time when everyone is being told to avoid unnecessary travel 2) They have been pictured and admitted breaching covid protocols while on said trip 3) A player has then tested positive which likely came as a surprise to absolutely nobody Edited January 11, 2021 by AJF

Detournement
1 hour ago, GAD said: That's bollocks though. The Exeter Chiefs team that infected half the Glasgow Warriors squad a few weeks ago also returned negative tests before the game. There are serious question marks over Celtic's Covid security here, just as there was before that game. The game tonight shouldn't go ahead. And we later found out they took their tests the previous Monday six days before the game which the French kicked up about.
