Oh, they didn't... so competent. So wonderfully run. I heard that if the leagues stopped they were going to expel Hearts to League 1. Last in, first out.

We generally do it very quickly. How long did it take D Utd and how much debt did it take again? I'm sure the 5m for Shankland will see you right though.
resk
Remind us how many times Aberdeen finished in relegation spots but weasled their way out of it through rule changes, etc?Zero. Zero times. Happy to clear that up.

vikingTON
Not sure why a Hearts fan is giving it the big licks given that any serious disruption to the season would *checks notes* keep Hearts in the second tier indefinitely and completely ruin them financially. Even an extension of the JRS would be a drop in the ocean compared to the foolish contracts they've handed out.

Well that's not true is it, unless you're suggesting a play-off spot is not a relegation spot, given you can get relegated by finishing in it.

Well, a play-off spot certainly wasn't a relegation spot for Hamilton Academical, Queen of the South, Forfar Athletic or Brechin City last season. Well given football fans moan about refereeing decisions years ago, don't you think it's natural Hearts fans will be moaning about a totally unfair and uneccessary demotion during an economic crisis and wanting some payback? And no, Hearts will not be in financial trouble but if we are it will be because we were demoted into a league not even playing. Solid grounds for another compensation claim. In any case,11.5k Sts sold, 150k a month from FoH, confirmed benefactor funding for 5 years - think we'll be OK. And we haven't been handing out foolish contracts. We've cut back the squad drastically and are poised to take in 1.5m or so in transfer fee for Hickey (on top of fees for Washington, Clare and Uche). Indeed, they voted for it not to be as I remember. Totally fair though apparently if it gets D Utd and Raith promoted. The new way of things I suppose. Sporting integrity my arse. Looking forward to the whole "Dundee United City Football Club" rearing its head again are you? You know it's on the cards....

By your logic Hearts were not in a relegation spot as you're only in danger of actual relegation when the season is finished, which it wasn't no matter how many times people decide to make out a 30-game season is perfectly normal and there is no way teams can make up 4 points with 8 games left.

Anyhow that's a question fo D Utd, Hibs and Rangers fans as when we were in the Championship we made sure we won it. Hearts fans have never been in either a promotion or relegation playoff unlike those clubs.
