Celtic vs St. Johnstone

Kane would have just run it to the corner or sliced it horribly wide. Wotherspoon done the right thing holding on to it.

And rolling the ball under his foot before falling over. Yeah right option right enough.

Ref has reverted to booking every Saints player who goes near a Celtic player. He’s doing his best to get Celtic a result!

Aye. Brown goes in late 3 times, has a kick out after one, and shoves a player right in front of him.

No card.

Kane comes in from the same angle as a player, gets a toe on the ball but is a bit late and gets the player too.

Card.

Taking one for his colleague, giving himself a minter to save Chris Kane doing it (again). It's what top pros do.

This is feeling an awful lot like the home game earlier in the season ...

Aye. Just the £10m+ worth of subs  brought on so far, with another 2 to go.

We've brought on Chris Kane.

Sounds like you are surprised RG

Brown has an invisible force field which means he cannot be booked even if he takes someone head off with his studs. A stern warning will suffice for the 400th time.

Its Celtic as a whole.

Every time we go near their ground we got booked for every foul while they rarely even get one.

Griffiths with a late foul stopping a counter.

No card.

Shocking from the ref tbh.

Griffiths was behind the play, no chance of getting the ball and slid in anyway.

Since Brown went off Celtic have lost control of this game.  St Johnstone are winning the ball and getting into the attacking 3rd regularly.

He's absolutely controlled this first half tbf.

Controlling but passive as f**k at same time. By going through him it slows everything down and you effectively have 3 players out the game (in an attacking off the ball sense)  now by which time Saints or whoever have been given time to set up properly and we have only gone about 5/10 yards forward.

Yeah it seems pointless. Same gameplan as McDiarmid, try and stop Ajer bringing the ball forward from defence, and you've virtually stopped Celtic playing through midfield. Brown just helps us.

Utterly reliant on a moment of magic from Rogic/Christie/Edouard.

Thats pretty been our season in a nutshell tbh when using this formation and Brown (plus an unorganised defence).

FWIW I don't think Browns totally done but he should only be playing in this formation in certain European games and coming on to see out a win.
