Ayr vs Raith Rovers

Recommended Posts

Harsh, to be honest. We’ve taken two stupid corners and given the ball away but other than that we’ve been excellent; battered Ayr for the majority of that first half. We’ve really controlled the game but just failed to find that final ball.
I'm not sure this sums it up, tbh.

Raith have controlled more of the play, but as others have mentioned - chances have been fairly even between the teams.

We look good moving the ball around. However, not really causing too many headaches for Ayr. They've probably had the better chances. We'll concede one of those dead balls.

My thoughts exactly. Pretty over passing of the ball doesn't put too much pressure on the opposition.

Despite Raith "battering" us, Sinisalo hasn't had much out of the ordinary to do.

The ball needs to stuck in the final third better for us, Anderson and Moffat not linking up particularly well either. Someone getting in behind wouldn't go amiss either.

McCowan playing on the left would suit him and us much better, always looking to bring it onto his stronger foot loses momentum for us.

Dare I say Duku has been well looked after so far.

Completely agree with McCowan, the man is totally left footed yet we play him out on the right. The only sort of width we're having is from Muirhead.

Glad that Ryan is doing better than he was with us.

He’ll always have that thunderbolt against Hibs.

It was disgraceful the situation he was put in with us.

Total respect for the way he dealt with it and not surprising he jacked it in soon after.

Yeah, I'm worried about the set pieces as well.

We are very good to watch though, even if the end product is lacking a bit. Miles ahead of last season's side.

I can see why we do it to get him cutting inside, but the opposition are well aware of this by now. I'd like to see him swap sides through the game and perhaps linking up through the middle with Moffat and Anderson.
