Even game until just past the 30th move, at which point my opponent had to surrender his Queen with King in check, From there on it was a case of chasing his King until checkmate, at the 42nd move. Hands up, that was me........ very good game, enjoyed it as usual in spite of the outcome. When I read the analysis and suggested training, I was advised to try Fuzzy Felt instead. Guest Posted January 8, 2023 Share Posted January 8, 2023 (edited) Division B, Round 4. Ken Deans (white) draws with IncomingExile, stalemate. After capturing both my bishops by move 17, I made a daft move allowing Ken to capture both my rooks by move 28. It wasn't all that long before I was reduced to attempting to 'sh**house' another draw, as seems to be the new football buzzword. Ken only really made one mistake which was the last move (48), when his second queen didn't have me in check and I got away with a point. Hard luck on Ken because he deserved all three points, for me it's the equivalent of getting a man sent off in the first half and grinding out a goalless draw. We're now a win apiece and a draw from our three head-to-head games, look forward to the return leg.
