Gordopolis
Gallagher and Hanley are a very similar age (30 & 29), both are tall and physical and capable of dominating opposition forwards.Gallagher has been quietly effective for Scotland in his handful of caps, despite his relatively low-key club career so far.Hanley has been a high profile Scotland defender since his teens, has flitted between the championship and the EPL, has gone for millions and has nearly 30 caps. Despite all that, he does have a mad moment in him.Personally, I think we should be taking both. Gallagher probably keeps the shirt though, given his part in getting us to this tourney.
Ludo*1
Hanley and Hendry are both better than Gallagher IMO. But again, Gallagher played a part in getting us to the tournament, no need to rock the boat as he's not let the National side down.

Both have done well for this.

Barry Ferguson's Hat
We're coming up against teams from Abroad so it makes sense to call up players who are experienced in the complexities of Abroad football, otherwise we're gonna get gazumped all over the parc. Abroad is Abest.
cameron2000
Declan Gallagher keeps the ball at this level though his passing is a lot better than Hanley and he is far superior in the air which is why he plays Big Gallagher is underated and would walk into your poor Killie team quite easily Should find himself down south next year anyway been few teams looking at him Sheff Utd QPR and a few othersDoes Gallagher walk into the Norwich team as Captain?

Not as captain but he is good enough to play with any English championship club feel he is probably holding out for a chance to go back to Celtic probably like everyone else waiting to see who the next boss will be and if he rates him

Not his fault he's in a dross side with shite team mates who miss chances/don't create any. There's also something to be said for good strikers getting chances...
G51
Gerrard saying today that Jack will be out for a couple of weeks. Should probably be okay for the squad but worth keeping an eye on.

Just keep him in the cryo-chamber until June.
TheScarf
Thanks to the very bald Teemu Pukki it looks like Hanley will be in the Barclays again next season.

He struggles to do 3 games in 8 days this late into a season. We'll likely have to find someone who can fill in that role sooner rather than later. The odds aren't great that Jack will be able to do 270 minutes of group stage football.

I didn't realise he struggled quite that badly. Makes all the more sense to prepare for moving McTominay into midfield in that case.

Gilmour is probably the best hope for the role - it's a shame he never went out on loan.

You're right though, we're usually not short of a ball winner in midfield.
