Everyone I know from Kirrie tells me to avoid the place (and that they know Scott McKenna) but I'm game nonetheless. I always recommend first time visitors to Grant Street to stop at the Nip Inn beforehand and ask for a taste of their cask ales.

superbigal
I went to Downfield once last year. I'm just a soft country lad but I wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of that committee Who's the committee?

Was up midweek. Darryl is a great lad but he looked the best player in the side as well as essentially running the whole game and being ages with me that's probably not good enough to be challenging for titles. It's pre season though so maybe too early to judge and beating Crossgates a decent result. Game of two halves but yous were better team in the second.
RossBFaeDundee
If anyone has a clue what the teams of the Broughty Athletic vs. Dundee development squad were and what the result was that would be great.
Den Spark
Didn't even know the game was on, Ross. However, we are playing Lochee United at Thomson park on Wednesday.
Jimi Shandrix
It only seems to have ended about 20 minutes ago but here we are with a new season upon us, raring to go next Saturday. Tayport, Carnoustie and East Craigie in the first 3 weeks will certainly show us where we are. Currently, I have absolutely no idea about what's going on at the club having spent a chunk of the summer in hospital but as always at this time of year, I am full of confidence and optimism. If that can be sustained for more than 3 or 4 weeks this time out then that will be a bonus. From what I saw at the tail end of last season we need 4 or 5 players to be challenging up top. Hopeful of getting to a few more games this season (health permitting). Mon the Fed.
CaspianChris
Was at this game today and am very happy with the result. Only moan is it was not a lot more than 2 as Broughty looked good and certainly missed a lot of chances today. Was not massively impressed with Tayport.
Jimi Shandrix
A comfortable home win for Broughty today. We looked a lot better than last season even without the injured goal machine Josh Skelly and I have to say Tayport looked a little bit poorer but early days and all that. A harder test to come against Carnoustie in midweek. Saw this on the Lochee Utd twatter page. Raised a smile.
invergowrie arab
I wasn't wanting to be too harsh on Tayport when I saw them as it was pre season and they actually beat a Crossgates team who had a decent season last year but they really did look bang average for a lot of that game
CaspianChris
Is it only Carnoustie, Tayport and Lochee Utd that have the SFA License from the Midlands League? What clubs would be likely to be next in line if it is only those three?
