Never realised there were so many "loan" players throughout L1 and some of ours were guff as well. It will be interesting to see how the squads will all pan out. As we are still in L1 again I will check out the thread to keep up to date. I have no idea yet but the loan guys were:

Sabatin (not a Murray favourite)/Jack McKay (Cheerio)   Kyle Turner ( a player!) Paul Paton (VG but injured a lot) Kyle Connell ( Good prospect) 

There were so many "contracted" players who did hee haw of the exciting time last close season and will surely be released:

Stokes/Mbayo- definately! Ritchie maybe.

We had loan players who did very well for - Bell, Tiffoney and Wright. We are awaiting news on whether they will re-sign for next season.

Sadly, Jags legend Chris Erskine picked up a nasty hamstring injury after coming back from East Kilbride. He's doing rehab with us.

Thistle did seem to do better than us with loans (Kyle Turner too late for us) and I know from those games after the restart that indeed Tiffoney was the real threat over us in both games. That breakaway just after  Wright made that great save to prevent a 2 goal lead!. Stephen Bell has always been a quality defender  . Best wishes for next season and please beat Morton and Ayr.

He has been someone I wanted to see in an Airdrie jersey from the Stranraer period. Although 33 he will still be miles better than any of our other non existent midfielders of this season.  As an assistant manager as well I hope his influence ,on and off the park, helps Ian Murray. Interesting that Murray's contract is just "extended" -will need to get us one better next season.

Those were key moments that saved our season. McCall definitely wants to bring back Tiffoney and probably Bell too. If we re-sign Tiffoney and Wright (also out of contract), we'll have to pay compensation to Livingston and Rangers. I'd be surprised if we could afford both but Rangers let us have Rudden cheaply.

After the stick that we've had from Ayr and Morton fans following relegation, I look forward to thrashing them next season. You've got a good manager and should be challenging for promotion again.

None of that surprises me and I want to thank Sean Crichton for all his contributions for us. I regretfully remember his cracking volley for Livingston against us, but I forgive him. Ally Roy and Craig Thomson did have some impacts,  but I was taken aback when we resigned them last season so I will not be hypocritical in regretting their onward move.  The young boys I don't really know and Eoghan Stokes provided few moments of recall. Interesting to see who we are having further discussions with. The close season is now open.
