Div
Our "GTF Day" which is the day every year that the site rolls over into the new season. GTF of course stands for "Go To Forum". This year, from Sunday June 6th supporters of the teams promoted or relegated should move on to their new divisional forum home. We will also amend all the forum descriptions, the homepage will be updated and any other relevant business will be completed. Until then we'd ask fans of all promoted or relegated clubs to stick to their relevant forum where appropriate, so take your medicine for another couple of weeks if you've been relegated, and lord it up for a while longer if you've had a successful season.

There are still some descriptions to update or perhaps it's the nostalgic look.

They've now been updated, but with a few errors. Raith listed before QOTS, Alloa before Airdrie, Brechin now missing altogether. My OCD can't handle this.

Yeah, I did notice that Kelty are doing an OF and playing in two leagues.
Div
I think all the wee issues with the team listings have now been fixed but let me know if I've missed any!
Marten
Will you move the junior football section to the SPFL forums now we're in the pyramid? Or maybe just one board for the 3 Highland League feeders: North Caledonian League, Grampian League and Midlands League?
craigkillie
Technically none of the pyramid leagues should be in the SPFL section - it would now make sense to have separate SPFL and Pyramid sections.
Div
Yeah it's going to need a wee bit work. So maybe someone can confirm this for me; Highland League feeds from Midlands League, North Caledonian League, North Super League Lowland League feeds from East of Scotland League, South of Scotland League, West of Scotland League Is that right?

Tiny point, the North Super League is being rebranded "Grampian League". Edit: just noticed it hasn't been confirmed yet, but whether or not they will rename the league will probably be announced shortly. There should be news on what exactly they're doing for 2021-22 reasonably soon.

You'd be best having a single 'North Pyramid' subforum IMO to avoid multiple becoming tumbleweed central. Perhaps rename current Highland subforum? Sufficient content flows through each of LL, EOSL and WOSL subforums. E.g. East of Scotland 50,707 posts in 7 years 5 pages worth of thread titles in last 18 months Lowland League 48,973 posts in 7 years 4 pages worth of thread titles in last 18 months West of Scotland 17,369 posts in 2 years 9 pages worth in thread titles in last 18 months Highland League 13,274 posts in 18 years 1 page worth of thread titles in last 18 months South of Scotland 9,605 posts in 7 years 1 page worth of thread titles in last 18 months Junior subforum (2 pages worth of thread titles in last 12 months i.e. since cut to Tayside and North)

There's a sub forum for cup competitions, and threads for specific league participation can pop up in a sub forum. The Highland League already has NCL discussion bundled into it. Turning it into a Highland Pyramid forum makes the most sense due to the lack of participation of North Juniors, and to an extent Midlands. Especially as over time the more supported Midlands are going to end up being a Highland League side anyway.

Think this is correct. The HL, LL, EoS, SoS and WoS subforums should never have been in the SPFL section in the first place because these leagues are not part of the SPFL. A new pyramid section with a separate subsection for each tier 5 and 6 league setup would be the proper protocol. The existing Juniors subforum could continue to be used for the north and east region league tier 6 setups that are now in the pyramid until such time as the SJFA finally disbands and the Midlands and Grampian league setups are fully analogous in SFA hierarchy terms to the other tier 6 leagues. Hopefully that will happen in the not too distant future but it hasn't happened yet. Edited July 3, 2021 by LongTimeLurker
