I would be shocked to see it going ahead. We apparently had 5 positive covid tests at the tail end of last week, and others in quarantine due to being close contacts. No idea what they’re actually discussing at this stage, given we have 13 senior players and 5 (?) youths on the books… but they still appear to be trying to get the game on? FREDDYFRY
My question is why is anyone entertaining going to K Park or any other LL club who gave B teams their oxygen… there I said it, I’ll get my crash helmet looked out!

I had seen him mentioned in the list as well, strange one. Really looking forward to tonight. No reason why we shouldn't be aiming to qualify from this group; we have a good record against Championship teams recently. Hopefully it doesn't turn into a farce with more postponements.

craigkillie
What an absolute fucking shambles, could potentially f**k ourselves out of this cup two years in a row by not following simple rules. Hoping they follow the precedent set with the Andy Irving case in 2018 where it was a 2 point deduction and a fine, that would leave us still as favourites to get through. If they award EK the win then we'll be right up against it.
Phillips455
EK only need 1 more forfeit if they get the killy and morton results. They could make it through the group stage without winning a single game! More than likely it will be a "Hearts" punishment of 2 points docked and a fine. Punishing both Killy and East Kilbride.
kilMARKnock
Embarrassing, someone needs punted for this but surely the player must have had an inclination.

Well if it was for multiple bookings then they probably forgot. If it was for a red card then I would be less forgiving as that would be something you should be remembering. However the Club should have atleast checked all of their players (especially newly signed players) to see if they have any existing bans that may apply to them.

Hauzen
Greenock Telegraph reporting tonight's game is off, with quotes from a "club spokesman". The club themselves tweeting this morning that no decision has been made and they're still hopeful the game could go ahead. What a fucking omnishambles this competition is already.

Replays
It’s so nice knowing teams other than Clyde also fail to follow simple administrative rules. Edited July 13, 2021 by Scott-Replay

I was fizzing regarding the Fitzpatrick situation but this is on a different level. How can clubs not have a procedure in place to check a suspension list?! An absolute slamdunk 3-0 to EK.

I reckon there is, but the person in question is so incompetent that they'd have seen "Raith Rovers" beside Armstrong's name and not realised that he now plays for Killie.

To be honest I can understand it a little though a ft club off pitch shouldnt miss it I suppose. You cant emphasise enough the hoops clubs have to jump through at the moment. Covid tests, Covid reports to SFA, Covid Reports to SPFL, Covid reports to opposition, socially distanced sales processes with allocation info, Attendance Registers, etc. Its a never ending hell of paperwork exaggerated by multiple games a week at the moment, trialists floating at most clubs, paperwork getting lodged tight for signings to make games. The whole system is at breaking point. It could easily get missed if that sort of things falls to one person. I check ours and only remembered to do it Thursday night. (Nobody on it thankfully). Obviously players coming from other clubs are easier to miss. Somebody has screwed up but it'll never be more understandable imo. 27 minutes ago, Coooombe said: I reckon there is, but the person in question is so incompetent that they'd have seen "Raith Rovers" beside Armstrong's name and not realised that he now plays for Killie. I'd say a 3-0 is the fairest outcome in isolation, but if Hearts have been punished differently for a similar but not identical offence in the same competition then there is clearly at least some degree of ambiguity.

The SPFL will give whatever punishment suits at the time, like making sure Hearts still got through the group. No offence, but they won’t bother anywhere near as much if Killie went out.
