I don't get this buying tickets via Fanbase. I could understand it if it was exclusively a ticket only match. What is the advantage for the supporter or the club as I assume there is some sort of charge for tickets bought this way. I'm not criticising it, but being an old fart I fail to see why it is used. There must be some reason as more and more clubs are using it.

Dunno if banks charge clubs for cash banking services but i suppose it means less hassle at the gate with no change etc? Money direct into accounts.

Good point. I suppose less waiting about in the cold and wet. I assume there's a straight refund if a game is postponed.

Also, there’s large percentages of the population who don’t carry cash,  clubs should be open for them and will happily take their money.

Football is almost the only place I use cash these days. I'm in two minds about switching off cash. I'm seeing more and more people getting shut off from using banks because of their political views. When it becomes digital only the social credit systems won't be far away.
