Absolutely, its not often the officials of the SFA give you a numerical advantage and one of the softest penalty awards ever seen in the land - yet you still failed miserably to take advantage. For as shit as Dundee are, its heartening to see them swagger to a point with all that going against them. As for St Mirren, well, let's just hope the ideas are bucked up considerably.

Yes, if was a Dundee fan I'd be absolutely delighted at clinging on to a point against a team like St Mirren. Well done, can't even say it wasn't just about deserved. Some deep soul searching required for St Mirren though, unacceptable result.
Doonhame Buddie
Jim was very honest in his post-match comments. He admitted we should have gone on to dominate Dundee when they were down to 10 men and the defence was terrible for the Cummings goal. Hopefully we can put this behind us next week. We can’t play that poorly every week.

DeeTillEhDeh
Reading some of the shite here you'd think St Mirren were Man City compared to Dundee. The truth is there was very little in it and the game could have gone either way. Only the sending off gave St Mirren a sustained period of being on top - yet bar one chance, they did very little with it.A point apiece was about right.
DeeTillEhDeh
Good news I think - Mullen's injury was not a leg break - not as bad as first thought.https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/dundee-fc/2420266/dundee-relieved-as-striker-danny-mullen-escapes-serious-injury-after-being-stretchered-off-against-st-mirren/

You obviously wouldn't have seen much of St. Mirren last season but that soft penalty yesterday but would have been well down the list of soft penalties they got last season. Welcome to the Premiership.

Ludo*1
McPake confirming that McGhee and Marshall hadn't trained at all last week due to self isolating and neither did 2 of our 3 subs. So to sum up, we had 10 players out overall, 6 with covid, 4 with injuries in the lead up, had a further blow as another 2 went off injured in the first half, played our 4th and 5th choice central midfielders, gave away an extremely soft penalty and had a man sent off. Yet the best St Mirren side of our time still only got a point. Pleasing.
