Plenty rain forecast in the next 72 hours. Hope your game makes it this weekend.

Two pitch inspections last night in the Scottish Premiership before matches took place. I fear for groundskeepers health in the next few days worrying how their pitches will fair if matches do go ahead this weekend 🤣

Sort of conditions to provide a good test of how much difference the unprecedented rest and in some cases special improvements over last 18 months have made.

LTHV, Leith and Edinburgh College games are on waterproof 3G of course.

Peebles v Lochgelly already off - though here we can easily see why:

In another sign of impending inundation the Border Cup Final (Greenlaw v Langlee) has moved from Hawick RAU to the artificial surface at Melrose rugby ground.

Penicuik v Blackburn isn’t off. Pitch inspection in the morning.

Just read on Twitter that the EoSFL Board have declined to sanction an early postponement of the Penicuik game, will that be the case for all the clubs who are declaring postponements tonight or is it just the Penicuik v Blackburn game that is being singled out 🤷🏻‍♂️

So is the decider tomorrow when the loser has to apologise [emoji2369][emoji3] very rarely known PTB to be wrong with his comments [emoji106]

More the point that it officially isn’t off as of yet. As stated elsewhere the league have requested a pitch inspection in the morning. So he is technically wrong at this moment in time, come the morning he mostly likely will be right. No winners or losers here, wasn’t having a dig at anyone, just clarifying the situation!

Having just been at our U20s match on the Astro across from the pitch, I’ll be amazed if it’s on!

I'm the juniors there seemed to be a culture of switching/swapping games last minute if a pitch was unplayable. Is that allowed to happen in EoS?

Reversals are permitted... provided referee + both clubs agree (plus return game still outstanding obviously)... but happen very seldom.

Unsurprisingly home teams rarely want to travel - or away teams stage a match - at hours notice.
