I simply refuse to believe that anyone would choose Tom over Clive. I refuse!

I'd still pick Clive over Tom just about, but Clive is getting on my tits these days. He has this weird penchant for bringing completely irrelevant stats into the commentary. Plus the more you listen to him, the more you realise he has a shite accent/voice combo. Good commentators should always have a voice that's actually pleasant to listen to.

ETA: An example of a commentator with a good accent/voice combo. You could listen to Jock Brown talking about anything.

I'm a tad too young to have appreciated him at the time, but the amount of clips I've heard of him commentating I fully agree. "And it's McCoist!" Must've been his trademark statement when covering football back then.

Aye I’m too young for Jock Brown as well really, but there’s no denying talent when you hear it.

I don’t mind Drury either but a significant chunk of that is probably because he and Jim Beglin did our 2008 UEFA Cup run.

Tyldesley lost all credibility when he released that video wallowing in his own self-pity after being replaced on ITV for the worst commentator of all time.

Tom Commentator offers comedic value with his reaction and lines like ‘we’ll take it to the SFA next week’, also the Stenhousemuir penalty reaction, amongst many others.

St. Mirren have only ever won 8 league games at Ibrox...true story.

I've been to 4 of them (1978, 1980, 1989, 1991)

I won't be there on Sunday.

I've only managed to see 2 draws at Ibrox.

Thompsons goal in the last seconds felt like a winner though. Ridiculous goal 😂.

Looks like crowd restrictions were in place that day.

I was in the Club Deck that day on a freebie. My muted celebration when that goal went in was one of the most difficult things I've ever had to do.

Me and my youngest will be in our new christmas Saints tops listening to the radio.

After the draw the other day, a few people I've spoken to are getting blasé about 'Suppose I'd take a point'. Bare bones team, packed full of youngsters, playing away to the league leaders.  I have the fear...

I'll just repeat what I said for the 'other half' game.

Could we sneak a draw? I mean... possibly?

Ultimately, an injury free game where we at least look somewhat competitive, that's all I ask for.

..and very questionable appointments at referee/linesman will all work against us.

Didn't you know, there is a huge conspiracy against Rangers? It goes all the way from the top to the bottom, you can read all about that travesty by checking out @AB1872's posts on the St Mirren/Celtic game thread. It's only through such brave whistleblowers do we get a chance to peel back the layers of obfuscation and shine a light on an aggression towards Rangers that has been perpetrated by every club since the league's inception.

Obvs, with that in mind, #hopesandprayers goes out to those plucky lads in blue, in a hope they can somehow turn the tide against this clear oppression.

Let’s just hope if the referee gives four perfectly legitimate penalties to Rangers today he doesn’t bottle giving the 5th perfectly legitimate penalty. Need to boost that goal difference

Oh and I never claimed there was a conspiracy against Rangers. I was using the words of YOUR clubs Ex Chairman

You have made massive jumps of correlation to somehow claim your club is harshly treated, when the facts just don't match up with your accusations.

You have cherry picked comments to support that. For example, you reference Gilmour. Any St Mirren fan will know he was vocal about perceived bias regarding both sides of the OF. You however, have chosen to take one of those comments, without balance, then use that as your evidence. All that suggests is you suffer from confirmation bias.
