I’m almost 100% certain that James Maxwell is a left back/left midfielder, not a right back.

They'd sign him anyway because we are interested in him. Is that not how season 21/22 works? 🤔

Maybe he'll be cheaper now, but putting two and two together it sounds like Kai Kennedy might come with a loan fee that's over and above the wages Rangers actually pay him.

On that basis alone I wouldn't be keen, and I can't imagine McGlynn would be either. All things being equal though, he'd "do a job" for us because we have precisely zero alternative options out wide at the moment.

He's nowhere near ready to be starting every week at this level, but he's obviously got a lot of ability.

In the similar vein, I'd take any one of the Pars misfiring strikers. Despite the team being down the bottom end of the league and Todorov/Wighton/O'Hara not really being able to hold onto a starting jersey, they'd all bring something to the Rovers squad that we just don't have.

By funny seing Raith fans backtrack on six months of posts telling us how average he was baring 1-2 gamess.

Don’t think many would backtrack as it’s a fairly accurate description of him, he’s still good enough to play in our team but he’s not the standout he looked the first few games. He’d do a job for most clubs at this level but like many wingers can be anonymous in many games.

We’ve been linked with James Maxwell on a permanent deal. It’s rumoured on Ayr thread that we’re in for Aaron Muirhead too. We could really do with a right-winger so would be surprised if we weren’t in for Lawless before he went to Dunfermline.

Hastie will be back to Rangers thankfully.

We were not in for lawless, he burnt his bridge's last time. And I'm so glad to hear he went to the pars, bad influence.

Morton need 4-5 additions/replacements to freshen up the team and give us half a chance of staying up.

Of the loans, can see Allan going back to Newcastle and Reilly going back to Livvy. Both came with big expectations and have failed miserably. Think both are technically here for the season but hopefully a clause allows them to return. Believe we are paying almost all of Reillys wages which won't be cheap so let's hope he goes back and we can use it elsewhere.

Knowles got injured for the season so he's already away home.

Will be gutted if Oksanen goes back to Brentford, he has been one of the few players to impress and McEntee has done well too and is here until end of the season

Blues, Muirhead, Lithgow can go but doubt anyone would take them. Why Gus decided to keep the 1st two is quite incredible.

Shopping list for me includes a RB, CB, left and right winger and a striker. Won't get them all but we need the vast majority to have half a chance.

Huge month for us.

Given their current situation, you don't think Rennie will want to give him a chance at Falkirk?

Depends how the practices have been going at Falkirk while he was on loan, since he was there a couple, of days a week. The Falkirk lads seem reasonably certain he isn’t vehemently opposed to playing back at TFS, but there is also talk of grudges and bad blood with Holt and Dowd.

Dowds is in the Courier today and he's unsurprisingly saying he wants to stay at Arbroath and he's said as much to Rennie, while acknowledging it's out of his hands.

Would not be bothered if any of the current squad left.

We need a right back, centre half, defensive mid, creative mid and a striker as priorities.

Apparently we have 3 trialists in just now - one being a centre half from Ireland

Raith interested in the ironically named David Goodwillie apparently.

A tricky one. He’s obviously too good a player for League 1 and will score goals but who wants a convicted sex offender with his criminal record at their club? Wouldn’t want him anywhere near Gayfield.

ETA actually, it’s not a tricky one at all, any team that considers him are crazy.

Macdiarmid, has a piece in today's courier, against this move, agree wouldn't want him at Gayfield, but was he actually convicted

Looks like an unusual case but yes, he appears to have been confirmed as a rapist by a judge. He’s also got two other convictions for assault, so a pretty scummy character.

It was through the civil court he was found guilty after the Crown court decided not to prosecute.  Civil courts can make a verdict based on probability, where as a Crown court has to come to a decision that's beyond reasonable doubt. Civil court punishments are in the form of fines rather than custodial sentences.
