And they got stronger as the tournament went on. Charles Stiles Posted February 7, 2022 Share Posted February 7, 2022 The annoying thing about Salah is, going by some non-footballing clips, he seems a genuinely decent, bubbly guy in real life and the abuse he got from fellow Muslims at Christmas for daring to celebrate another religions festival was an utter disgrace. For me the only thing he did wrong was kit the family out in those horrific compulsory matching onesies. I persevered with this from the group stages, assuming it would get better as the tournament progressed. No such luck. The final was about the best match I saw - and it was pretty poor, imo - and there was no doubt the (marginally) better team won.
