Moonhound17
Can't believe that in the current political climate, there's not a thick of it thread! I think most of the last few months revelations would have ended up in Armando Ianucci's waste paper bin for being too far fetched! Suppose this can be a place to discuss favourite characters, quotes, episodes and thick of it style news moments.
TheScarf
There used to be one in here. Maybe it was culled. Peter Mannion was clearly the best character. Some of his lines and delivery were superb.
Moonhound17
I'm definitely a Peter Mannion guy."She's making eyes at me, I wish I could make redundancy at her."
TheScarf
‘Shut the f**k up you prancing shit’. I really enjoyed the infrequency of his swearing. Tucker’s gimmick was obviously a swearing machine and had some great lines but when Mannion swore it was always good. Just the right amount.

Arch Stanton
He's got a cock like a bookies biro. Or, conversely... A cock like Pink Panther's tail.

NotThePars
Would fully recommend The Death of Stalin and Veep for anyone that wants a follow up to this and hasn’t checked them out. Ianucci is a bit of a fanny but he’s got a great track record.

Moonhound17
Would have to agree but also liked Stuart Pearson and his insane psychobabble .I like the plasmic nature of your data modelling.Throughout the whole partygate thing I've had one of my favourite Peter-Stuart interchanges stuck in my head:Stuart: "When is a party not a party?"Peter: "When it's at your house."
The Golden God
Stuart in the inquiry episode is superb. “Could you possibly speak in plain English”
scottsdad
I am fairly certain I posted on a Thick of It thread in the past. Unless this was some kind of underwhelming fever delusion.
