The Russian rouble has recovered much of the ground it had lost after Russia attacked Ukraine in February. It was trading at 82.52 roubles to the dollar at 1323 GMT on April 6, compared with 81.41 roubles on Feb. 23, the day before the invasion began.

Well, with inflation at 17% and the central bank forced to raise interest rates to 20%, and it looking like defaulting on its debt payments for the first time since they overthrew the Tsar, it's nice that something's going well for them. :) Banning Russians from selling roubles for dollars or euros will no doubt be helping with that..

Those economic sanctions have arguably had a worse effect on us than Russia. Putin is stronger politically now than when this kicked off.
Did you C&P this or is it your own take ? I ask as it shows zero understanding of the exchange rate mechanism in this instance ?

Well that's a surprise.

It doesn't seem like that Ritter character is entirely trustworthy tbh.

Jimmy Page was in a sexual relationship with a 13year old during the 70s. Didn’t stop him being a famous guitarist. Never did understand why he has never been taken to task for that.

A lot of paedos seem to get accepted on the alt conspiracy bandwagon by playing I'm a threat to the Rothchild/Soros cabal and they made me attracted to weans. Wonder if Nonce Andrew does a blog on the Queen being a Lizard.

Some more on that deNazification.

How much do you understand about the history of Ukraine?

https://military-history.fandom.com/wiki/14th_Waffen_Grenadier_Division_of_the_SS_(1st_Ukrainian)

There have been a number of monuments installed and street names “celebrating” past leaders responsible for a number of atrocities.

There are bad b*****ds on both sides.

And it was.

So you are happy with the UK actions in invading Iraq and Afghanistan and shelling civilian housing?

There are many more examples but those are the most recent ones.

War is fcuking horrible for civilian populations.

Propaganda plays a large part in justifying war depending on which narrative you believe.

I prefer peace. We need more John Lennon’s in the world than Putins or Blair.

Britain has a fcuking horrific history of killing innocent people. Many statues have been erected glorifying such atrocities.

I don’t like Putin and what he is doing, but he would argue he is protecting his “Motherland” for future generations.

All these leaders have blood on their hands.

Cnuts the lot of them.

People Who Don't Understand Economics Thread for this pish.

Russia is nailed on for a period of hyper-inflation. The currency has stabilised because the Russians had no choice but to impose heavy currency controls. Nobody is trading it.

The lack of foreign currency will mean printing money, meaning nailed-on inflation. You can already see it starting.
